It'd be good to mention them from time to time. These forums have chipped in at various times for worthy causes, usually associated with fellow forumites, but I know we're not reluctant to give money for the right cause, and I'd certainly contribute to a legitimate fund for the Responders or their families. After the rush of collections in the first year, I haven't seen anyone other than Rodriguez and these W.A.C. guys purporting to be collecting for "the cause", and you'll excuse me if I don't believe either of them. (But I'm overseas and don't see a lot of the local news from over here.)

I guess I should add the usual disclaimer.... This would be a personal effort, not a JREF effort, as the JREF does not associate itself with causes other than any they may choose to endorse.

One thing that I said awhile ago is that we can compile a book from the comic strips and donate the proceeds to 1st responders.

At my job, we collected donations for this charity:

The Twin Towers Orphan Fund was founded on September 12, 2001 for the sole purpose of providing educational and welfare assistance to the children who were orphaned (who lost one or both parents) by the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The mission of the Twin Towers Orphan Fund is to provide long-term higher educational assistance and mental and physical healthcare assistance for (a) children who lost parents in the World Trade Center, at the Pentagon, or onboard the four downed airliners, and (b) children of victims of future terrorist attacks.

According to a dictionary definition:

Funds received from the sale of assets, or from the issue of securities, after deduction of selling or marketing expenses incurred.

So they are probably ok on that one. Assuming takings exceeds expenses, that is.

I don't think so. My point is that the vast majority of 9/11 charities won't involve themselves with 9/11 conspiracy theorists. Why Feal Good does, I can't say.

I don't understand the guy's involvement with We Are Change...

Neither do I, but this organization does not represent the FDNY 1st responders.

John Feal is the president and founder. Besides the fact that I personally would have used a different name, I don't see anything wrong with the foundation. I could be wrong but I think the involvement with We Are Change is just accepting donations from them.
 
all PROCEEDS are to go to the First Responders? These are the same guys blaming the FDNY were in on it and all paid off.

If these people do take donations for FDNY and NYPD, is there a way to find out if the money really gets to the FDNY, NYPD? I thought there was a way to see where the money goes in a organization that gives it away... am I wrong on this?

That is the first time I have seen that clip...

So now, defeated on the CT's of 9/11, the truthers have decided they will bring the Iraq War and gitmo into it...JHC, talk about moving the goal posts...more like removing the goal posts and putting in hockey nets instead.

N, don't worry about it. This is turning out to be a humiliation for them. There'll be no money to supposedly donate to this mysterious unnamed charity.

There's less than 2 weeks to go and only 30 people have donated (about $100 each). Ticket sales are in the low hundreds as far as we can tell - possibly even less than 200. Ticket sales were originally updated on the web - now that info is being covered up. Events are being scaled back, and Twoofstock only has three acts 'confirmed' and they're the one's nobody's heard of anyway. The speakers are just the Loose Change crew and a couple of nobody's. They planned to raise $500,000 - that's at least 5000 attendees per day! Even this, 5000 people, is a staggering overestimate of the strength of the Truth Movement.

And the great thing is, there's no way they can pin this on JREFers, Gravy, the NWO or mass media. Finally, a poll which can't be fiddled by the either side, which tests whether anyone gives enough of a damn about Twoof to donate a buck or two. And the result? Yeah, about the same number of people as there are active posters on the LC forum.

This is like watching a movement implode into it's own footprint.

We better start investigating the trooth movement for an inside job to their demise! I bet it was death star laser beams and holographs.

Have they got any speakers on the topics of gitmo, Iraq, globalization, and the strife of the first respoders? I'm not familiar with all the names. The names I do recognise, LTW, AJ etc will no doubt be talking solely on the topic of that thing which they daren't mention on the website (the inside job). A more transparent scam I have never seen. Yet bizarrely, the only people invited seem to be inside-job fans.
