Oak Island's National Treasure Triangle

Oak island is very controversal this is what makes this mystery interesting evidence has been miss handled and made controversal by skeptics and believers its a skeptics playground?

Punctuation is a good thing, oakster.

"The Money Pit."

How hilarious is that?

It's a money pit alright... unfortunately, the money only goes in one direction... down.

Oak Island is a mystery open to interpretations of opinions; organizations still keep this mystery alive, with the hopes of treasure that may be found. Hopefully something is found soon? Or a more defined answer.

Or alternatively (and much more likely) there's no treasure there, the formations under Oak Island are natural in origin, and an entire industry is mired in delusion.

Including you, of course.

I meant the paucity of periods & commas and the curious use of question marks, but you're welcome just the same.

:D

Possible natural formation anything is possible'

Skeptics can be diluted too?

Not one red cent has ever come out of "The Money Pit". How many ways can you interpret that fact?

Skeptics can be diluted too?

Yes, and the more we're diluted, the more powerful we become. Big ups to Sammy Hahnemann.

Anyone have anything not for immediate release? Perhaps soon release, or in awhile release?

*** IMMEDIATE RELEASE ***

Gold, diamonds, prehistoric and/or space alien remains…those are just a few of the things that MAY be found in my back yard.

Snuffy Finklestine, noted PhD, is on record as saying “why yes, there may be untold riches in his back yard…”

*** End Press Release ***
As soon as I get my unexpected inheritance from that uncle who died in a plane crash in Nigeria, I'll be investing in your excavation!

The oak island treasure is vaguely interesting as a story in human greed overcoming common sense. Every attempt has been based on the supposed oh-so-near success of the prior attempt, each and every one of which had found things and whatnots just at the very end of their excavation... when the money was running out. Oh, if they'd just had three more days and dug a few scant inches more before the rains fell and the tide came in and the dirt collapsed and the crane broke down and the cash dried up!

So you've come to a skeptic's forum expecting... what? Excitement? We can do research too, and we can see that the hole is just that, a big hole. The alternate possibility is that seventeenth century pirates dug a hundred fifty plus foot shaft into the ground to bury treasure with some foreknowledge of how to hydraulically booby trap it using caves.

History lesson: do you know how many pirates are known to have ACTUALLY buried their treasure?
One: Kidd

And just what does this have to do with skepticism? Sounds much more like SPAM to me....
What? Are you unfamiliar with the Oak Island Enigma? It was one of my favorite stories from "This Baffling World", one of the best 'woo' books ever written. That book and Aurthur C Clark launched me into my life of wonderment of the Mysterious Universe. I progressed from woo mysteries to scientific mysteries but I'm sure the events of my childhood developed my desire to explore the world.

This Baffling World's chapters:
Chapters Are:

1. The Oak Island Enigma

2. The Devil in Devonshire

3. Things in the Sky

4. The 'Ancient Prisoner'

5. Those Who Walk on Flames

6. The Jinx Ship

7. The ABC of ESP

8. The Restless Coffins of Christ Church

9. The Hoodoo Sea

10 A Prevalence of Prophets

11. The Unknown 'Snowman'

12. The Boy from Nowhere

13. The Eyeless Seers
The Devil at Devonshire was another favorite of mine.

Bandersnatch - Thanks; how did you come across that as Ranville never provided it?

Tirdun - All righty! I'm in S. MD so not to far away from you...you are welcome to dig as much as you like; once your check clears that is :)

Skeptigirl - Yes, I'm familar with it...but I still call it spam as oakster is doing nothing but self promoting himself and sites he is affiliated with, with "Immediate Release" notes and vague source documents.

Well that would explain why no one has found anything and in light of modern technology no one has just gone and dug the rest of the way down. I can understand past attempts failing but with modern technology it seems impossible the site cannot now be properly excavated, sea water rushing in or not.

I have to say though, it's really disappointing to think the log platforms and some of the other supposed evidence of an elaborate burial structure are merely fabricated myths. I can live with no treasure at the bottom, but not even a man made mystery? Now that's belief shattering. It's like finding out there was no Easter Bunny. :D

He's a new guy. At least be certain before accusing someone. I understand where you are coming from, but your post seems a lot more cynical than skeptical.
