Interesting. So the weights on the end of the chain are a form of energy. I'm not real good with science. Could someone elaborate for me?

As far as I recall, if you hold the pendulum in place (do not let it move and do not give it a nudge), it doesn't matter where the weights are... the clock doesn't run. And in my unscientific mind, I reckoned that since the clock started after you gave the pendulum a little push and the gears and cogs started doing their jobs, well that the weights were merely assisting that initial thrust. But maybe I'm wrong. I'm sure Teddy Kennedy would be really happy to know that weight is now a form of energy.

(I think I can find you a tetraputz. Without having to go very far, at all!)

Would you PLEASE answer some of our questions? Or are you stuck in some sort of adolescent loop where you just keep calling names until a teacher breaks things up?

Because I actually know a little about science, I can kind of answer this one, in layman's terms.

"Weight" is a measure of gravitational pull, and that's a kind of energy. Since the weights on the chains are neither on the ground, nor at the furthest end of the distance that the chain can travel, the weights contain energy that can be used to run the clock. When the weights go down to the point that the chains are fully extended, there's no more energy that they can impart to the clock.

We want to know what you know. And, after the resistance you've put up, we're curious as to why you don't want to share what you know.

Is it possible that you just don't have an answer? After all, you can ask me just about anything, and if I have an answer I'll tell you.

I wanted to show off my natty fedora in the Science and Maths community. Everyone else admires it, so I figured all the egghead geniuses deserved a treat.

Why are you here? I mean, I take it from your own comments that you're a musician and not an engineer, energy company executive, or investor. So you're here as a fan of fantasy OU devices? Well many of us are here as fans of fantasist OU device true believers.

Do you plan to run it on an EB3 (could be a little front-heavy), or maybe an Orbo or Wang Generator? Maybe you could get Gaby de Wilde to make you up some sails....

And on a more serious note, as I said before, I think these fantasies detract from possibly useful discussions on alternate energy sources that should be getting more attention and investment... and thus, research. (That's r-e-s-e-a-r-c-h. It's an interesting idea that many in the scientific community prefer to y-o-u-t-u-b-e.)

All the sites I find when I google "pendulum" and "limits" give me the information TjW posted earlier, that you said was wrong. Why don't you want me to learn what it is you understand?
