Over Unity is No Longer Disputable

When did I say there were no pendulums? I said pendulums could not be the energy source. More precisely I said there was no Foucault pendulum.

Perhaps we misinterpreted this post:

What pendulum system is at work? You make a pendulum claim with no evidence. I see a double standard here.

By the way, I don't see "Foucault" in there.

By the way, some time ago, g4macdad said this:

If there is no working demonstration in the next few days then I will gladly choke down my crow.:D

The "working demonstration" was a reference to the Steorn device, and not any sort of aside about some piece of kinetic art.

Are we now past a "few days"?

I do not believe that any laws of physics need to be broken to create a "free" energy machine. I stated this in the OP.

I do know that not looking for a "free" energy device is the most ignorant act of all.

The people here are excuse makers, they sit around and think of reasons to not act. The saddest part of all this is those very people think that they are smart. Try actually opening you minds.

That is a link to an excellent forum with very intelligent individuals with great ideas on OU principals.

I came to JREF because I like Randi's views on psychics, ghosts and other BS. But when I got here I found a bunch of closed minded, pathetic losers.

I very much consider myself a skeptic, but I always keep hope, dignity and open mindedness above my skepticism.

Where do you find a flaw in my reasoning? I asked what pendulum sytem there was that could be the energy source for the 40 mins. in the video!

BTW the thing was running at the beginning of the video and showed no signs of slowing at the end.

Hell you can believe what you like but it's wrong so there you go.

I do know that not looking for a "free" energy device is the most ignorant act of all.

What you don't know could fill several universes.

The people here are excuse makers, they sit around and think of reasons to not act.

Yeah people! Stop making excuses - let's all start praying and then gawd will give us over-unity! Don't sit around and think of reasons why it won't work - don't fob me off with excuses like, "the universe just doesn't work that way," your negative thoughts will make it not work!

The saddest part of all this is those very people think that they are smart.

I know I am smart.

Try actually opening you minds.

Try opening your mouth and eating some crow.

**** ideas - a working machine and no less will be acceptable.

Not promises of a working machine.

Not hopes of a working machine.

Not ideas about how a working machine might work.

Just the ****ing working perpetual motion machine and nothing less.

I came to JREF because I like Randi's views on psychics, ghosts and other BS. But when I got here I found a bunch of closed minded, pathetic losers.

That crow is hard to swallow is it?

I very much consider myself a skeptic, but I always keep hope, dignity and open mindedness above my skepticism.

So you're hopeful that one of the most backed-up laws of physics is going to be shown to be broken and you do that in spite of the evidence that shows that everyone who has attempted to do so has failed miserably.

Yeah - you're a skeptic alright.

Yeah idiots! It's not like there's ever been any mechanical devices, like say, clocks that have ever operated off pendulums for hours, nay, days at a time! How ridiculous!

I hope you know that what you are saying is completely wrong. There has never been a clock that's energy source was a pendulum. You are an embarrassment.

And you say I can't read?:eye-poppi

So, that big, old pendulum at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History can't be used to tell time? Someone should have told the guy that laid out the tile floor. He wasted a lot of effort putting down that clock face.

Correct. It is only theoretically possible and I presumed there were clocks that may have used a simple pendulum.

You are an embarrassment.

And yet I haven't got to eat any crow for correcting myself.

You on the other hand don't seem willing to admit to your mistake - relying on 'hope' instead that perpetual motion should be possible "'cause".

ETA: heh, it appears my assumption was correct after all.

Well that's what I get for basing my conjectures on solid physical possibility I guess.

The pendulum in the device.

BTW the thing was running at the beginning of the video and showed no signs of slowing at the end.
Yeah. So?

Ninth time, g4:

What claim has the inventor made, and what evidence has he provided to support this claim?

I do not recall saying that nor do I quite see what the **** that has to do with that sentence.

There is no pendulum in the video that could run the device for 40 mins.

Are you really this ignorant, or are you just being fesicious?

Maybe Steorn has discovered a way to generate power from missing deadlines. After 16 days, they should have at least a couple kwatt-hrs made....

Wow. Just "wow."

That's really the same thing as saying that there's never been a car that had an internal combustion engine as an energy source. Talk about harping on the trivial, and missing the big picture!

Really?

You have calculated this?

You have taken into account that big heavy weight in the middle?

You've never encountered other, similar devices?

You somehow missed that at the very start of the video, Finsrud was going into the room to manually restart the device?

You ignore the fact that the inventor himself says the device runs down over time?

I wonder if G4 does children's parties?

P.S. Love the avatar. Triple PAF Les Paul Custom Black Beauty, eh?

What he's saying is there's no pendulum - oops - pendulums can't store energy - oops - pendulums can't store 40 minutes worth of energy.
