Over Unity is No Longer Disputable

Follow the video link above. That is what is being discussed. The one a couple of posts back.

I am a slow, borrowed connection and cannot access a 47 minute video. It appears to be a demonstration of a perpetual motion machine. If you can explain the physics that permit this, please do so. Otherwise, my comments above stand. It's an extraordinary claim, defying what we know and expect and are taught about physical law. I plead ignorance, and therefore find no reason to expect that the assertions of a person equally ignorant should override those of people who know more than I do. If you are not ignorant of the physics involved, I cordially invite you to explain what you know.

Actually, it's a demonstration of a rather nice bit of kinetic sculpture, which g4 has somehow decided is a perpetual motion device, even though its creator says that it is nothing of the sort.

Visit the links page of his site and you can get here. Under the efficiency section Finsrud is quoted as saying
Reidar (Finsrud) says the machine does stop on occasions but that this is not on a daily basis. To start the machine the pendulums are swung by hand, this puts an external input energy into the system, given that the machine does stop this means it is not over 100% efficient.

The writer then devolves into typical free energy stuff using ballpark figures, rough estimates and zero maths

This should have been clear to anyone in the first minute of the video.

Not having ever heard the term "Perpetuum Mobile" before, i had no idea what this video was about.

The first thing I thought (when it became clear that this 'ball rolling around in a circle machine' was the subject of the video) was - "Oh - it's a pendulum of some sort"

When I checked wikipedia to see if it was in fact some sort of perpetual motion machine, I realised how odd it was at the beginning that the intention had been to start this machine, and they had seemed surprised that it was actually still running.

**** - how can anyone possibly have a sensible discussion about this when you don't even know what constitutes an energy source?

Basically you are being a coward and trying to hide the fact that you cannot name an energy source. Correct?

Uh no doofus.

In my world a pendulum is an energy source - especially once you give it a wonderful injection of kinetic energy by giving it a push. I have no ****ing idea what magic your world runs on - but then you do think it's possible to get something for nothing.

So the pendulums are the energy source that keep the ball running? Or the ball keeps the pendulums moving?

LOL, you too?????:p Energy source?

The Sun. Would you like me to explain why? I can use small words, so you'll understand it.

BTW, you still haven't eaten crow about the Steorn debacle. You wouldn't want to get a reputation for dishonesty, would you?

Forget energy sources, he can't seem to even understand sentences!
