[Merged]architects and engineers for 9/11 truth = SCAM!

People grow up, and the alleged 65% that feel it was an inside job, will not be the same percentage once the testosterone and other hormones settle out...trust me.
Wait'l it dawns on him that Trutherism is severely reducing his chances to score.

We can all provide anecdotes about our peers. 911 truth is buzzing round my school. If you look carefully at the poll qarnos linked to it states that 65% of the young demographic believe in an inside job. The young are the future too so it can only grow.

You can use 9/11 to grade intelligence and the ability to think for yourself. Those who believe in 9/11 truth ideas not backed by facts are unable to use knowledge and judgment to come to rational conclusions. Those who are able to understand 9/11 are able to think rationally. Those who are fall for the false information of 9/11 truth need help to learn how to think for themselves and not fall for junk information like 9/11 slings around. Rational thinkers can see 9/11 truth as false information hearsay junk salesmen.

I would disagree with you on the "intelligence" point. Yes, it is a good indicator of ones ability to rationalize and reason, but those two things are greatly clouded by the tumultuousness of adolescence. Man when I was young I believed some crazy things, and put my whole heart into them, and I think I am well above average intelligence. I think alot of these young truthers despite being naive to it now, and lured by its anti authority appeal, will eventually see the BS that is the truth movement.

Did you examine the poll, or only read the article?
Here's the poll info:

Being a skeptic doesn't help matters much either. It seems that the perfect state to experience high school in is 'blissful ignorance'.
I had pretty good success as a high school skeptic. It made me come across as "brooding", "deep", "mysterious", and "thoughtful", which apparently was rather attractive (to the types of girls I wanted to be around, anyway.)

I can say the same thing for me :)

But seriously, high school is in no way the same as the real world. Please don't compare your high school experience to what adults are and where they are. They know more because they have had more experience and an unsheltered existence for x number of years vs. your 0.

I'm surprised Revolutionary has so much time to post over here these days, since he's got his promotion over at LCF.

LUCUS must be seething!

I have an interesting experiment for you.

**snip**

"In the JFK assination, do you believe Oswald acted alone?"

**snip**

Then record the answers.

**snip**

Here are the answers!

1 - Yes
5 - No, and are you interested in buying this book I'm writing about the relationship between the military industrial complex and several other grassy knolls in the American Southwest?
8 - Dude, you spelled assassination wrong!
16 - I'm sorry, I don't watch kids shows.
29 - Actually, I think the tall blond guy who was also on Whose Line is It was a better actor than him.
41 - Blank Stare/Drool/Other non-response.

So there you have it, only 1% of all people feel that Oswald acted alone.

:D

The young are pretty damn impressionable and stupid too.

I believed Loose Change when I saw it. I was 17 at the time and thought it all connected. Turns out it didn't.

Dang, beat to it. :(

Hmm? Don't get me wrong, that only put off the girls at MY high school.

Being an actor helps matters along nicely for anywhere else...;)

Ae911truth welcomes a new member, an 85 year old expert of air conditioning systems, Marx Ayres.

"Mr. Ayres is a nationally recognized expert in building air conditioning design and analysis, energy conservation, thermal energy storage, commissioning of HVAC systems, and earthquake damage to building mechanical systems"

http://ae911truth.org/announce/4

He says:

"I support the work of Dr. Steven Jones. He has provided a scientific foundation for the collapse of the three World Trade Center (WTC) towers. I read the FEMA September, 2002 report, prepared by the American Society of Civil Engineers, and initially accepted their theory of the collapse of WTC 1 and 2. As more information became available on the web, I was motivated to research the subject in a more rigorous manner. I have carefully studied the Jones 2006 paper, “Why Indeed Did the WTC Buildings Completely Collapse?” and concluded that it is a rational step-by-step study that meets the accepted standards for scientific building research. His critical reviews of the FEMA, NIST, and 9/11 Commission reports are correct. I have signed his petition calling for the release of all U.S. Government- held information regarding the events of 9/11/2001."

His homepage is here: http://jmayres.com/Home.html

I emailed him a pile of links. Lets see how much research he choses to do.

This is alarming. I will be having a chat with Mr. Ayres soon. I am astonished that a credentialed individual like Mr. Ayers would be so cavalier with his conclusions. I think I know a couple of people who are on the same technical committees as he is and will be asking them their opinions of Mr. Ayers.

Ok, champ, you win. Well done on winning something against a 15 year old on the internet. Be sure to tell your buddies about it tomorrow and get plenty of high fives.
So you are 15 and you have been mislead by the 9/11-truth movement. You fail to see every single point in LC videos as being false. You are not knowledgeable enough to know. Funny I know 4th and 5th graders who can figure out 9/11, and you decide to believe lies. At least you have the potential to grow out of terminal stupidity.

Shame on Marx, he makes us HVAC engineers look bad!

I looked at his home page. The format and verbiage looks like the type of old marketing stuff from the 70s that I'd occasionally stumble across. He definitely seems more legit then the usual twoof fairy clowns pretending to be professionals. Marx's homepage has a fair amount of space to his long standing political activities. I bet our HVAC geezer has had to have been out of the business at least 20 years, and me thinks all of his current energy is spent countering the Dubya administration. I'd love for him to join JREF and hear what specially he finds faulty with the official engineering/scientific explanations.

What's really funny for me is how the twoof brigade (so few of whom have any scientific background) always trot these very few professionals as if they were representitive of the overall professional community. Richard Gage should try presenting a 9/11 conference sponsered by AIA or one of the professional engineering organizations. I've got about 300 a/e co-workers and they laugh at this stuff. I'd be willing to part with some $ if a there is one twoof fairy in the vast Chicago design industry.....and I won't accept wookie students or residental interior decorators.

There's apparently one here in Tucson, a Peter D. Morse (P.E. - Mechanical). One of my co-workers used to work with him, but in a big company where he didn't really get to know him. Tucson is still in some ways a small town so it is likely I will run into him at one of the professional organization meetings (ASHRAE, etc). I have no idea how I would respond to "woo" in such an environment if, for example, someone brought in Richard Gage to speak to at one of the meetings. How could anyone sit silently and listen to such a load of crud?

Ah Tucson! One of my hobbies is collecting rare music/film. A few years back a certain dry cleaner from Tucson named Rob Guarnieri created an extremely elaborate scam (still have a wealth of email correspondance) where he inherited a gold mine of audio/video tapes from a fictional deceased friend who ran the sound and cctv for various clubs along the east coast in the late 60s/ early 70s. He had representitives from Eric Clapton, The Doors and Jimi Hendrix bidding up to 6 figures for items in his treasure chest. I think that he had minor sucess bilking a Led Zeppelin collector for roughly $10K. Last I heard the Arizona Attorney Generals Office was investigating him.

I get so many invites to various educational seminars. Why is it, no "Investigate 9/11!" seminars have popped in my inbox or post? I wonder if they'd offer continuing educational credits?
