Bigfoot - The Patterson-Gimlin Film

No, actually I mean that I'm figuring your tactics out and I'm learning what makes you tick...what your true motives are. Now I'll be able to teach others how to recognize a disingenuous debate lover from a true skeptic. (I finally figured out that you're not true skeptics) The more people learn about your deceptive tactics, the quicker they'll pull away from folks like you and not waste their time listening to a bunch of hot air. So say on... I'm sure there's more I can write down about your kind. More hot air please...

:D

oh noz
You don't believe me so you're not a skeptic ploy.

I hate to be the one to say this, but you're starting to sound like a nut-job. Your posts are becoming more and more bizarre. I'm thinking about pushing the "ignore" button cause "you ain't all there." I have no idea what the hell your talking about! Cats, Zen, I am one... What the hell?

If you understood this post you would not be the pecan you are.

Well, I don't have any groundbreaking news on the PG film to offer, but I'd like to add to the post Kitakaze posted for me about Ben Radford being on the Let's Talk Bigfoot show.

There is a mailing list to remind interested people in show dates and times and if anyone would like to receive that please e.mail me at teresamhall@starband.net. and let me know what e.mail address you'd like a reminder sent to each week.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming ;)
If there's still time, please pick one of those:

(1) It is usually said that skeptics will only be satisfied with a specimen. Do you think this statement is true or the following types of evidence would receive a more than warm reception?
a. Good pictures or films obtained by people whose professional lives would be ruined if caught somehow involved in a hoax.
b. DNA assay pointing towards an unknown hominid or pongid genus.
c. Fossil remains of large North American apes from a time period roughly coincident with the megafauna or the arrival of the first human settlers.

(2) How do you see the reasonings about North American forests not being able to sustain a population of bigfoot-like animals?

(3) What do you think bigfoot enthusiasts/investigators must do to improve their work and be taken more seriously?

Thanks!

Radford's talk is scheduled for September. That leaves plenty of time for a confirmation before then. This Bigfoot program (and any other) would be very different after confirmation.

Any real confirmation would come by serendipity. That means by chance or unexpected circumstance. The person(s) involved in the confirmation should become wealthy from the event by a number of ways. It could happen to an armchair believer, a Bigfoot searcher or a skeptic.

Anyone want a bet?

I bet no confirmation will come before September. In case of loosing, I shall use an "eating-the-crow" avatar untill kingdom comes. In case of winning, the oponents will have to use an avatar clearly written "there's no reliable evidence for bigfoot" untill reliable evidence is available.

Actually I proposed a much more challenging bet at http://www.internationalskeptics.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2732908&postcount=4974. Untill now, no one decided to take it. Not even the person who said confirmation will come in five or ten years.

So Luminous, I'm guessing you are going to continue avoiding the question I asked concerning whether or not you post on any of the boards I referred you to. Not that it's a big deal, but I find it interesting that you do.

Just in case you still don't remember that post.

Tell me why you want to know so bad? Also, if you don't mind, name them again. I didn't pay close enough attention to it the first time around. I apologize for that.

LAL tells me you're actually a pretty nice guy in real life, so I apologize for being rude toward you. I'll do my best to be more civil. I only ask the same in return, even if we disagree.

Correa, I saw your bets, and now bet you that nobody will ever take your bets.

Belief in the existence of Bigfoot is a kind of religion. I'm compelled to think that many Bigfooters don't believe in a truly literal sense that would lend itself to material parameters or limits. They find happiness and daily affirmation by arguing that Bigfoot exists. Ironically, the proposed creature itself is only an abstract pretense for expressing their globalized personal emotions and personality. This is hardly any different than a belief in God. There is a constant attempt to reverse the burden of proof about Bigfoot. They want skeptics to prove that Patty is not a Bigfoot, or that Bigfoot does not exist at all. Make the disbelievers do all the work, while you stand on the proclamations or analysis of some officially-credentialled believer. How dare anyone say that Michael Behe doesn't know what he is talking about concerning the failure of evolutionary theory when he is a Biochemistry Professor at Lehigh University! Do you think that he holds a PhD and maintains that university position because he doesn't know what he is talking about?

Do Bigfoot skeptics really understand what is going on in the minds and motivations of Bigfoot believers?

The reason why rubber hip waders get referenced is because Heironimus said that Patterson used them inside the costume legs. You can see similarities to the way that the thick rubber boots fold and the appearance of the Patty "calf muscle". You can also see a coincidence of the top of the waders and the location of the bunching "hernia" at the upper thigh.

How come you're able to post animated gif's but it won't let me? Do you have to reach a certain number of posts to be allowed this privilege or something? Or is there a feature on this board that I don't know about?

Asking you which Bigfoot forums you post on should not require a list of Bigfoot forums. I don't know why KKZ wants to know, but I do know one thing...

You arrived at JREF using Bigfooter jargon and standardized ways of arguing against BF skeptics. This suggests that you are quite familiar with current Bigfootery... and that can lead to the assumption that you either post on believer-oriented forums or at least frequent them for lurking.

Bigfoot skeptics can get bored (because nobody seems to find the big monkey) and may sometimes pass the time by trying to guess or learn which Bigfooter is which out there in the world of Bigfoot believers. Our resident Bigfooters here on JREF have always been regular posters on Bigfoot forums. If you are not, then you are the first of your kind.

I don't know. I think you should be able to do this by now. One posts a .gif here the same way as any still image. Try using the "Insert Image" button. This must always be a hyperlink, rather than a file on your hard drive.

There was a time I posted regularly on BFF, but nothing recent. We do have one thing in common, we both wish someone would produce a body. That is something I am personally frustrated about. Even some National Geographic quality pictures would be nice. But as I posted earlier, I'm not sure how many TRUE skeptics are here. You seem to be able to conduct yourself in a mature manner. That's refreshing. Maybe there are some true skeptics here afterall...
