Actually, what is today Germany was a collection of independent city-states until the 1880's or so (stepping out now to a bar now for the Sox-cubs game, no time to get the exact date), when it was unified under a single flag.

So maybe they were just making up for lost time when they got those 2 world wars raging and tried their hand in genocide.

I have no problems for interventions to act on real threats. WW2 was such a threat. Nevertheless: No one cares about the current Genocide in Africa. I guess they have no Oil. /Sarcasm :boggled:
