WASHINGTON (AP) - A contractor working for the CIA has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges stemming from the abuse of a prisoner in Afghanistan, the first civilian to face criminal charges in the case, officials said Thursday.

This was not Iraq....so how could they be isolated incidents unknown to the higher ups?

Because isolated incidents not involving 'higher ups' is exactly what they are until you or somebody gives credible evidence to the contrary.

Ya just gotta love selective skepticism... :nope:

I knew that one brain cell I have left would come in handy one day:

Let's Go

Don't wanna study on the GI bill
Want more action haven't had my fill
Mercenary, fight for anyone
Fight for money
Fight for fun

Let's go

Got a country you wanna protect
But your army is likely to defect
Hire my SMG with full clip
On automatic it's a guaranteed hit

Let's go

Gee its kinda scary out here
Mosquitoes are happy tonight
Mommy, Daddy can I please come home
Even if just for one night

Let's go

Shocked how deadly we fight back
Troublemakers who attack
Mercenary fight for anyone
Fight for money, fight for fun.

Let's go

Of course, long ago, even while the British were still at their peak, mercenaries of the US were the SECOND largest force.
