Damn, I feel so sorry for him. He was always very pleasant and came off as very likeable and made for a great Ali G segment once.

I'm going to answer my own question in case some people would like to know.
According to a brochure taken from the skepchick website:

Eric Hovind graduated from the Pensacola Christian Academy and Jackson Hole Bible College.

What this means is Eric completed kindergarten through high school at Pensacola Christian Academy. More laughable is completing Jackson Hole Bible College, which is a one year school that isn't even accredited and the list of professors ( http://www.jhbc.edu/faculty.html ), including Ken Ham from Answers in Genesis, doesn't have a single teacher based in the same state as the school.

On a side note, the website refers to Ken Ham as Dr. Ken Ham, and he is certainly not a doctor. Falwell's Liberty University gave Ham an honorary doctorate and that does not qualify him to use the title.

No hypocrisy. Either you accept scientific fact or you don't. Many of those who accept science and teach it have accredited degrees, but some have accredited degrees, and pick and choose according to religion what to believe in science.

Then there are others like the Hovinds that get meaningless "degrees" from institutions that lack proper instructors.

Actually, Questioninggeller, you either accept the law and abide by it or all law is meaningless. In another thread there is a discussion about biblical prophecy being fulfilled and what evidence is there of that. This thread ties in perfectly with that one. The prophecy is in regards to the increased lawlessness in the end times.

Now consider most people rationalize their behavior. I've heard that people like Jessie James or Al Capone considered themselves normal. They rationalized their acts. They self-justified them.

That very normal yet self-justification is relevant in this regard: People that imagine they are intellectually capable of parsing law to decide which are acceptable and which aren't have the media of the internet to spread their views. They present persuasive arguments as to why they are right.

Now here is the downside of that reasoning. People that imagine they have the protection of law understanding where the boundaries are find themselves in a very precarious situation. They really can't know what the limits are. They can't rightly judge what to do or not do. This is chaos.

The perspective of picking and choosing which laws are valid creates a situation of anarchy that utterly destroys people that are looking to this same law for their justification. If anyone can decide which laws are right or wrong and act accordingly, they put the ones that look to the law to set boundaries at a severe disadvantage. This is not just.

We are talking about Kent Hovind's play-time diploma that he bought from some backyard shyster that confers on him the title of "Doctor". The reality is that the "diploma" is not worth the paper it is ink-jetted on, and Kent's doctorate is as completely fake as he is. His doctoral thesis (available online if you but search for it), such as it is, would score him a good solid E or F as a 5th grade essay.

In summary, nothing about this man is genuine. Fake qualifications, faked work history, faked tax records...even an utterly faked attitude to his employees and his flock. Perhaps you might like to point out anything genuine about him - I can see only one thing: genuine crook.

Yes, thank you. I saw it just before returning here. Amazing that even this lackwit would think that the latex protection that surgeons use against bacteria and viruses and chemists use against solvents (about a thousand times smaller than a virus) will allow HIV through. Mainly because HIV is a punishment from his all-merciful and loving god, I guess. :boggled:
