Mark Roberts Gay Spy MySpace

I live in the UK aswell, want me to go round to his house with a transit van and the heavies ? (joke)

It seriously is scraping the bottom of the barrel to be so petty as to attack someone like that, for them simply disagreeing with what is (regardless of how popular it may be) a very mediocre film about 9/11.

It always makes me laugh when I see them asking others to examine the evidence and yet when it comes to hard evidence they refuse to examine it themselves.

I'll complain to myspace about the profile though, its just not on to see that kind of harrassment.

this is a good idea. Perhaps, if we have more confirmatory proof that this site was too mock our Mark Roberts, and not someone else, than we should all individually complain to JREF about this myspace and whomever posted it.

There is little doubt possible:

Mark Roberts Gay spy!! : Présentation

Qui je suis :

Hi you guys you may have heard of me... I'm Mark Roberts... a lowly tour guide by day but at night I become........A gay spy. I spend most of my spare time with likeminded individuals, I was a little disappointed when i first went to the Rhandi forums because i was looking for RANDY forums lol. Anyhow I decided to stay because the people over there were just like me...mass debaters (now who's the one with the dirty mind?)

Mark Roberts Gay spy!!

Whatever the legality, the site isn't funny at all.

Jackchit admitted to it at LCF.

ok...thats it, my complaint will be in soon.

TAM:)

maybe I will post a link to the guy who was arrested in Texas along with my complaint.

Why are we to complain to JREF?

I recommend Jackchit and is ilk try this remedy, and maybe they can lay off the myspace and cancel their monthly subscriptions of Kool-Aid.

[add picture of Johnson's 'no more tears' baby shampoo]

Use this twice daily. Wash, for the first time this year, thoroughly and with cold water. With any luck you'll emerge with some newfound clarity in life.

And, hopefully, no more spitting the pacifier when you can't backup your claims with real evidence, nor debate someone akin to Mark Roberts with aforementioned evidence.

Done...

Edit: I removed the contents of my compaint as I fear if the complaint was read to this guy, and he put me together with my origiinal signature, he'd be juvenile enough to start a site about me.

Well they seem brazen enough about it. I wonder how Dylan will make out in "gay" hollywood when some of his new hollywood friends are shown this site, with himself linked as a "friend" of this myspace.

Gotta watch what you are saying now Dylan...tsk tsk tsk

someone posted the link to the texas kid, so maybe the idiot will read it, realize what a moron he has been, and do the right thing and remove the site before the myspace admins have it AND HIM removed from myspace.

Thought that was you. Maybe there is someone there that actually thinks.

Not me...never have, and never will join. If I wanted to wallow with the hogs I'd buy a farm.

elton john also is notoriously litigious. he has taken quite a few dodgy UK tabloids to task several times. he recieved one 6 figure settlement for the horrendous libel of being call "rude" (by the Daily Express i think) if i remember correctly, he also won massive damages from The Sun for alegations of him associating with "rent-boys" even though he is an out of the closet gay and these young gentlemen of the night were photographed entering and leaving his apartments.
im no legal expert (so correct me please if i'm wrong) but i think one of the main differences between UK and US libel law is that in the US the claimant has to prove defamation. whereas in the UK the onus is on the defence to show the relevant published material is not malicious in intent. or something like that, don't quote me on it.

ETA: found a nice little primer on British libel slander here it's a FAQ from the infamous peter carter-ruck London solicitors firm.

Thanks for that...I probably should have researched that myself, but this week is my busiest week yet, travelling back and forth between two cities daily, leaving at 6am and only getting home around midnight...

But good information there, and I stand corrected on the formal name of the United Kingdom.

Having skimmed through that article (I've printed it to read fully on the train) I'd say there is a pretty clear case of libel here. The onus to prove that the statements made are either true or are not defamatory falls on the person being sued, which would make things easier still for Mark should he choose to take action.

He is conspicuously absent from this thread at the moment...I hope I didn't upset him in some way by starting this! :boggled:

"You do not have permission to view this topic."

The damnedest thing, I was able to view it earlier. ;)

EDIT: I am referring to the LC forum, showtopic=4839.

I'm sure myspace has to deal with alot of this sort of thing, so they should have systems in place to act quickly.

Myspace will be happy so long as going through puberty continues to turn a profit for them.

The teen in texas that did something similar admitted to it though, so they picked him up and charged him. The trouble with the UK guy, despite the tougher laws, would be finding out who did it. Myspace not want to give p the personal info of a user...although if a crime has been committed that breeched their TOS, they could do so without impunity.

I'd say the guy who did this, if it was to defame our Mark Roberts (Marks reply does state that the myspace mentions his profession - which is a NYC Tour Guide) may be soon in deep shaite.

TAM:)

Edit: knowing Marks maturity level, and integrity, he probably doesn't even consider the accusation of "being gay" an insult. He is probably more miffed at someone misrepresenting him, than the homosexual aspect.

TAM:)

there is a current case here in south australia of a young goth girl who murder has had the culprits found thanks to myspace. I dont think the police here had any issue getting the information they needed.
