Turns out perjury IS illegal!

Libby was convicted of perjury. Will this close the chapter on Plamegate?

Lurker
Depends. With no pardon, Libby may want to deal away Cheney to stay out of jail. This practically guarantees a pardon.

His was a better title, however, I acknowledge my error, looked at the wrong time stamp.

Looks like I owe you a beer.

His title was more informative, yes. And I like wheat beers, thank you very much.

The "liberal" media is still missing the point: not just retaliating against critics, but compromising the security of one of OUR own agents to do it.
We're all just cannon fodder to them.

This misses the point too. It's not the security of that particular agent that was compromised, so much as it was our collective security given what she was working on and what her cover was.

That Cheney is still on the job is a disgrace.

I certainly didn't mean to limit the implications.

I feel sorry for any CIA assets who had contact with Plame when she as ever abroad. I'd be worried if I had been observed or not.

That was pretty much it with the lack of accountability thing.

I guess you have some evidence that Cheney had something to do with outing Plame?

Or is that another part of your mindless posts blaming Bush and Co. for everything?

FFS, Azure, who is the brains in the Bush Administration? Hint: It is not GW Bush.

Pay attention.

Evidence in the case established that senior Bush aides, including Cheney, were alarmed at Joseph Wilson's public rebuke of their assertions about Iraq's nuclear weapons, and that at least four top administration officials talked openly to reporters about his wife's identity, which was classified.
. . . . . . .

Testimony at the trial makes clear that at the time of Bush's statement, Karl Rove, his top political aide; Ari Fleisher, his press secretary; Richard Armitage, the No. 2 man at the State Department; and Libby had each discussed the matter with reporters before Bush's statement.
