That leads back to my question: Where, on CBS, NBC and ABC, are nipples allowed?
...."adults" are "betrayed" and have their "trust" "violated", fearing for the future of their kids, by seeing a half-covered nipple? What kind of prudish mindset is that?
Thanks for making my point!
Hi CFL -
I'm a Yank, certainly like America in a general sort of way, but I side with you on this. We're prudes - or enough of us are to make a difference.
Has anyone brought up something rather obvious? We've got KIDDIES watching fully grown, steroid-inflated men bashing into each other at full speed. Where, if 2 or 3 of these giant men can get to the rather unprotected, lightly-padded quarterback and slam him to the ground - maybe even on his head - they get to DANCE in jubilation and the crowd ROARS its approval.
But then of course we have to shade the eyes of the KIDDIES if that thing they spent their first 6 months or a year sucking on for nourishment is somehow revealed to them once again on the TeeVee. Let me see if I got this:
1. Up to the age of one or two, a human can see and have its way with a female nipple.
2. From two to eighteen, it is horribly shameful and wrong and decadent and harmful and destructive to even catch a glimpse of a female nipple.
3. From eighteen on, it's still shameful and everything, but maybe at least it won't warp a human's brain to view a female nipple.
Has anyone ever pointed out that on the planet Earth, with all of its millions of animal species through the eons, we humans are the ONLY species to be ashamed of our own naked bodies? Every other species - even the kiddies, of all ages - are "allowed" to see everybody else buck nekkid, and it has absolutely no deleterious effect on that species. When should we intelligent humans stop being so deliberately stupid in this area?
Sheez. Protect the kiddies from the nipple. But let them watch the blitz, the sack, the gang tackle, the unsportsmanlike conduct, the facemask grab, the hard hits, the taunting, the dance over the vanquished, the...
