It's one or more walls completely covered with random news clippings, magazine pages, book pages, photographs, diagrams, blueprints, maps, and other documents. And they all have words or phrases or portions of pictures circled, and connected to one another with multi-colored lines or strings in a disordered attempt to figure out the meaning of all the "signficant connections."

Now, I'm not naive enough to believe that any movie cliche has to be based in any way on the real world. (In the real world, for instance, only a small percentage of grocery bags have loaves of French bread sticking out of them.) But DJJ's posts and writings remind me so much of those walls-o'-schizophrenia in movies that I'm wondering if he's where the art directors got the idea from.

how many times do I have to tell you, they are not my numbers, they are Pythagorus numbers, Plato's numbers,, they are the very essense and simpliest of basic numbers of Sacred Geometry.

The "discovering a secret" music swells as the detective looks around the room, examining the rambling, incoherent notes and finally piecing things together, hearing bits of dialogue from before that were really little clues that we missed. Like that final part of "Usual Suspects" that I won't ruin but you need to see that movie right now if you haven't already.

"It's all clear now! The killer was David all along! Why didn't I see?"

The he gets hit on the back of the head. Right before he loses consciousness, we can hear:
