It is pretty clear at this point (well, earlier actually) that DJ is acting like a religious zealot trolling in the waters here - his claim to interest in research/math may exist in his head, but he shows no sign of ability to actually research/integrate real research. It was kind of you to offer data, but , as you may have noticed, real data would conflict with his presumable xtian based view of math.
I must be clear that I am giving him massive benefit of the doubt though, as where I am certain that Huntster (for example) is quite sincere in his xtian beliefs, something about the phrasing and points of DJ makes me suspect he is not and is merely using this silliness for trolling purposes (I am strongly reminded of Amy). We shall see.

You do realize that everyone is not identical and that the length of a digit 1” is generally different from person to person. Go look up the history of the British measuring system and standardization.
Apparently that means the mile isn’t divinely inspired.

All the mystery schools knew this even though they have hidden it from modern so called intelligent man.

I'm pressed for time currently so I'm going to try and make this statement as succint as possible: Though I am the first atheist to bitch about how a lot of my fellow atheists treat believers, and in the U.S., specifically Christians... dealing with fundamentalist literalists is almost like dealing with children. I've got a 46 year old man I'm supposed to meet for lunch some day that I honestly think of as being more mentally juvenille than his school aged children (though he appears to be making his oldest boy in his own likeness).

If FSTDT was a semi-sentient bot, I'm sure at least half of it's content would be from Christianforums. Oddly enough, many of the most intelligent and thought provocing comments on the Creation and Evolution debate come from the same site... from Christian Theistic Evolutionists.

In terms of ratio’s that we can understand an INCH is to a Mile what a FURLONG is to the EARTH. In other words we know how long our digit length is and so we can understand how that relates to a mile, and similarly, we know how far a furlong is, if we have walked it enough, or plowed enough and so can comprehend how big the Earth itself is, as we are related to the Earth, because we have a Common Creator. Are you catching it ?

So no wonder the angel said that the furlong was “according to the measure of a man (the earth) that is, of the angel (heaven).

True knowledge is integrative and not disjointed and isolated and chaotic as the atheists love to belief in their religion.

Good point Moochie, conceiveable when you do the math and understand the physics and how the Lord created and had the power to do so..

Foster, you're IN one now if you open up your mind, because there is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed if you OPEN up your eyes. But when you have a chance and deny it out of foolishness then that's your problem and not the Lord who is the ultimate revealer of secrets.

But again it takes sincerity rather than foolish superficiality. Thanks hope you make it via humility rather than the pride of thinking you know it all already.

And what if, by opening my eyes in this school that I'm in right now, I were to reach a completely different conclusion than you? What if I concluded that the universe is almost certainly organized from the bottom up rather than from the top down?

I find it ironic that you speak of humility. You've spoken out about the barbs of others and yet you yourself are just as offensive. It's just that you veil your insults in the affectation of gentle wisdom. I see no sign of humility in you. You really are fighting straw men. You seem to know little to nothing about atheists as real people. If you did know anything about most of the atheists here you would also know that virtually none of them take pride in the thought that they know it all. In fact, it's rare to find one who will claim to be 100% certain of the nonexistence of gods. "Knowing it all" is much more often the province of religion. For me personally, the open inquiry that led me to atheism has also led me to a profound sense of humility in the face of the universe as well as resignation to the fact that I will never understand everything. I'll only ever know a small fraction of the mysteries of the universe. But I'm OK with that because what I have learned has knocked me out of my socks and I know that there are more wonders waiting in the universe to be revealed by the cleverest among us. In fact, of the two, what I know and what I don't know, I'm far more concerned with what I don't know.

Atheism is not a religion, nor does it express any religious beliefs. Your ignorance of, well, basically everything has just been demonstrated quiet succinctly.
You are claiming some divine knowledge or source of knowledge. Put forth some evidence. A few pages back, I posted a list of questions for YECs. Please read the list and answer the questions. I can post it again, but it is a rather long list.
