LC:FC in PREproduction for over 1 year?!

Well, I got a copy of the E-zine version of Hollywood Reporter curtesy of my local library.......Guess what? That one says the production of LC started at january 3rd 2006 as well.......Now a misprint in the printed version of a magazine, I can understand, but the E version as well?????
BTW: When one consider the fact that the names that Avery so diligently blurred out actually is in a public available publication, would it be against forum rules to publish it?

You mean Levy and Tepper? He only blurred them because they are(at least one is) J000000000s. Don't tell the Loosers!! Avery is now part of the international banker's evil web of deceit!

I know. Nothing new.
I would publish a screen cap of the thing, but untill I get the ok from the admins/mods, I'm sitting on it. I was contemplating writing them, Tepper and Levy that is, to make sure Avery haven't pulled a fast one without their knowledge........
As for that guardian article, I can help but wonder if those pesky "copyright issues" isn't Avery and co getting handed their privates to eat by the Naudet lawyers.......

ETA:
The companies are as follows:
Louder Than Words/Tepper/Levy Co/One Roof Entertainment with Levy and Tepper as Exec. Prods.
According to the blurb, they'll be shooting in New Jersey......

ETA2:
EW.....They are reeshooting "I Am Legend" with Will Smith?! I don't have anything against Will Smith but "I Am Legend"?!

I don't think LC will even trouble that list of documentaries. Number 85 alone must have them beat hands down for "interest" value:

86 Inside Deep Throat Uni. $691,880 27 $88,709 12 2/11/05

:eye-poppi

How disappointing, if the movie just never opens. I was hoping for a different scenario: a real studio deal for big-budget Hollywood production.

Remember "Habeas Corpus," the movie-within-a-movie in The Player? I picture the same deal here. By the time producers, script doctors, the actors' agents, studio lawyers, and focus groups got through with LC, the ending would show the heroic teen investigator/filmmaker (Glen Howerton) sneaking into the Pentagon and activating its force field just in time to deflect the incoming missile, his computer hacker girlfriend (Elisha Cuthbert) reprogramming the remote-controlled planes to crash into the conspirators' secret headquarters instead, the falsely disgraced former NYPD bomb squad captain (Bruce Willis, of course) bursting into the WTC lobby and defusing the CD charges with 1.3 seconds left on the timer, and Gary Silvermeyer (Danny DeVito), the shady financier, being tripped up by Willis's character's cute precocious nine-year-old daughter (casting TBA) as he tries to flee down an alley with a suitcase containing $2.6 trillion in gold bullion.

Come to think of it, that might be worth putting on my Netflix list.

(Dylan wouldn't have to watch it, though, because he lived it!)

Respectfully,
Myriad

Theology? Where is this going?

There are some new details in The Guardian today.

Someone called Tim Sparke of MercuryMedia is handling international distribution.

Avery & Co have apparently "employed lawyers to iron out copyright issues with borrowed footage, commissioned 3D graphics from Germany, and recruited a theology professor to act as fact-checker and consultant."

Who would this theology professor be, I wonder?

A theology professor? What the heck does a theology professor know about structural engineering, physics, chemistry, and intelligence work?

My guess is that the new Loose Change movie, having gone to the North Woods and back, is now going to pay a visit to the Illuminati.

That's right, the Masons are behind it all! The WTC bombing was part of their secret occult rituals designed to bring about the end of the world, as foretold in the Bible, and Hal Lindsey's books, and Pat Robertson's TV shows!

So if that's the case, why didn't the New World Order just use the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man? :D

Nobody had to. I posted their names and pdoherty accused me of pointing out the jewish connection and then Arrowhead expressed his concern over the jewish connection. i just sat back and watched their implosion :)

Wow. Mercury Media is so up there, that they have to have a Myspace page:
Visit MercuryMedia on MySpace

And from the front page:
"MercuryMedia specialises in the distribution and development of documentaries, factual series and entertainment programming."

Seeing as Loose Change is neither a documentary nor factual (series), they better label it as a an entertaining fictional movie.

ETA: wow, they are hitting one of the all time "kook" film distributors and tv/book publishers:

Wonder why they couldn't get someone who is an architect, engineer, building designer, controlled demolitionist, or an aeronautical engineer to comment/weigh in. What does a person who studies religion have to offer in fact checking?

This is hilarious! Honestly, you couldn't make this stuff up. In years to come, if any aspiring JREFers with artistic intent go to a studio and say "we've got this idea for a film about Loose Change" and detail what's happened so far, the studio suits would laugh them out of the room.
Priceless.

I'm kinda bumping this thread because it's only 2 weeks until March, and although I'm not really in the swim of things, I haven't noticed any publicity for LCFC - no adverts in papers, no adverts on television, no trailers at the cinema, nothing on the radio, nothing on the internet. A big fat zero, just when the publicity machine ought to be cranking up and into high gear.

Now, I'm not really surprised, since LCFC without the lies of it's predecessors would amount to a title and end credits and a thirty second film of scrolling text won't get anywhere. However - the lack of action might serve as a goad for the Twoofers. :p

Well Dylan said a few days ago on his forum that "The script is 90% done" but they are still "Shooting for a March release". Go figure.

Riiight...........

Am I totally in the dark about how the movie business works? Don't you have to have your distribution deal in place, and screens secured, quite a bit more than a month in advance?

After all, these movie websites list numer of screens and release dates weeks and weeks in advance. You have to schedule screens because any time your movie is being shown, another film is not.

Last minute changes aren't unheard of, but... you get the idea.

No, you're not in the dark, you are correct. LC:FC will probably come out on YouTube in the next month or so. They might have a few local showings, but you won't ever see LC:FC in any of the big chain theatres.

Yup. 6 months at the very least and, especially if you have foreign investors, preferably before the production itself starts. Not only are we talking about the cinemas finding an appropriate slot for an appropriate amount of time, we are also talking about planning and executing a marketing strategy etc. That's NOT possible between now and March. Unless, of cause, Avery is AIMING to go bankrupt.

Exactly. That's why external financiers tend to want these details in order as soon as possible.

And this means that if someone actually decided to punch a 20.000.000 price tag in the rear of this "production" someone is going to get mighty pissed. Todays line between a success and going out of business, probably forever, depends on how many dollars you make in the opening week.
Which is not necessarily a bad thing as it will ensure that the Unholy Trinity will never be taken seriously as potential business partners again......Unless, of cause, the "business" involves the flipping of flat slices of minced beef in McD's......

Translation: We're writing the stuff we film into the script. We're making it up as we go along.
