Hey man, I'm all for people using parts of my movie. I authorize it all the time. But what those people do is just childish. And we'll donate the proceeds from the lawsuit to charity.

And who are reusing it in a way that - in the US, at least - probably *does* count as fair use (commentary or satire): unlike the way material is ripped off in LC.

I'd think if anyone had a case against SLC it'd be the companies whose material was ripped off in LC and then reproduced in SLC. I'd think they'd go after Dylan first, though

Anyway, that'd be a nice title for the next edition of SLC - how about the 'so sue me' edition...

Yes and no. While sometimes complete copying can be fair use it is uncommon. In this case though the situation is complicated by the unresolved copyright status of the item suposedly being coppied.

It would really be rather interesting since you first have to figure out what exactly Dylan holds the copyright to.
