Well its says Universal Pictures 2006 on that headline, and it says screeners and for your consideration.
Could be the Academy Awards promotion for industry critics and insiders to view these films so that they can be considered for the AA nominations. Usually, said studios would send out dvd'/svhs's of screeners to nominators, but due to the increased PIRACY of said screeners, having the studio control whom see it, is the next best way to promote their films for consideration.
This would also explain why "Children of Men" have a limited release listed on imdb.com in the US for December 2006 since a movie have to have been released in a specific year to come into consideration. They pulled a similar trick with one of the Disney animations one year. It was to old, but they re released it 2 months before the awards and then it was suddenly ok again.
