If he spends 3 billion or 10 billion - he will still own a new property that is worth whatever it cost him to build it...and he will make profit off of the new project, because that's why people build things - it's a business...designed to make money. Now that you know that Silverstein didn't own WTC 1, 2, 4 and 5, can you explain how he can make a profit if the insurance money is far less than the rebuilding cost?

Why of course Silverstein will start a limo service starting from the marina and path station to take all those people who used to work at the WTC complex to alternate places of emplyment all through manhattan
 
Silverstein leases the buildings from the Port Authority. He has paid the lease payments "rent" since 9/11. He has paid fot the rebuilding of WTC 7 and NYC and NYS governments are mandating him to rebuild the Freedom tower plus 9/11 memorial which has less office space than WTC 1 & 2. He is at a major loss.
 
He's also got the problem of actually getting tenants to move into what some might consider to be a future terrorist target, as witness the recent pbs documentary
 
I love it. This guy, Holmgren, at the bottom of his page has a link to "How Mark Rabinowitz and Jim Hoffman Lied about the BTS data."...priceless. Another truther looking for his piece of the fame pie, who then disses others fighting for the same "truth".

Silverstein isn't paying for the memorial. The nonprofit World Trade Center Memorial Foundation has raised $130 million privately. The Lower Manhattan Development Corp.has committed $200 million. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, has committed $100 million.
