I think my colleague Farrhad would strongly disagree with that statement. He emmigrated with his family to the US from Saudi Arabia in 1992. He is an Arab Muslim, and one of the kindest people I know.

Al Qaeda doesnt exist? I think you should notify Al Jazeera, and tell them they are just mouthpieces for the Bush administration. Why would anyone in the US government want a police state? Do you have any idea what kind of bureaucratic nightmare would have to be set up to administer such a thing?

If the US govt. were intent on establishing a police state, then New Orleans would be under federal control right now. Hurricane Katrina provided the perfect opportunity to start the ball rolling, where the govt. could be sent in to rescue the storm victims, and then enforce martial law (for the good of the people, of course) then conveniently never lift it. They could easily make it spread to surrounding areas, which were trying to deal with all the refugees, and before anyone knew what was happening, the entire Gulf region would be a police state.

But that didn't happen. In fact, the federal govt. wants to know why the local and state governments don't do more of their share. Wouldn't they want total control, if the goal is to create a police state?

Believe it or not, the media has much more information on OBL than the quick videos you see of him. So, why don't they release this information?

The answer is: They do. In publications that you don't read. The folks that run TV news know that the average American has the attention span of a gnat, so the information is provided in economical chunks. The picture of OBL shooting a gun is intended to send the message, "Osama BAD!" to people too scatter-brained to take the time and read a newspaper article explaining all the intricacies of his links to international terrorism.

PLEASE tell me why a government that's itching to become a draconian police state would bother to "release a suitcase nuke"? Why not just skip directly to the police state part? Do you realize how absurd it sounds when CTers postulate that the US .gov needs to stage terrorist attacks in order to obtain popular support for becoming a totalitarian police state?

Well, who runs Hollywood? The same people who run mainstream media including: all magazines, newspapers and television channels. They are all Jewish owned. Who is Israel's number 1 combatant in the Middle-East? Arab Muslims? What kind of opinion do you think Israel would want the American people to have about Islam and Arab Muslims? Do you think Israel wants Americans to like Arab Muslims? Or do you think Israel wants to spread propaganda to gain the support of the American people to back an American lead force to systemically eliminate all the Arab countries in the Middle-East, so that Israel can expand its borders and power?
