I won't link you to the NIST report, because I haven't read the thing. Pictures of a 20-story hole plus hours of fires are the start of the "compelling evidence" I need. That's followed up by the fact that of the thousands and thousands of reputable engineers in the country (world!), only a couple crackpots have doubted the official version. Will that do?

Now you know how we feel. What would make you change your mind? I mean, it's funny that you mention a video of Bush, because here there's a video of OBL taking credit, but you don't like that. So turn the question around. What would it take to convince you of the official version?
 
You want proof....buildings CANNOT collapse as fast as free fall speed or even faster! That's just the law of PHYSICS people. Okay, completely rooted in science. Please, prove me wrong. I am saying by the laws of nature, a building cannot collapse through resistance...at speeds that are as fast as free fall or EVEN FASTER! And, I never said NYFD are liars...so please DON'T imply that. NYFD are true heros...and believe it or not us CT are the only ones trying to seek true justice for them.

Uh-huh, whose interpretation is improbable? Again: if WTC 7 was brought down by CD, how come there are no observable explosions or flashes, ones comparable to what you'd see in any video of a *real* CD? How was the building set up for demolition - a months-long process - *while* it was being used by dozens of companies and at least thousands of employees on a daily basis, with no one noticing? Who actually detonated the building? What do they have to gain from it?

Why is it so difficult for you, and people like you, to see the big gaping hole in the idea that Larry Silverstein carefully orchestrated the CD of his own building, in some sort of nefarious insurance scheme, only to later blurt it out on national television? And somehow a relative nobody in front of a keyboard figured out what the insurance companies would've had to miss?

Do you even understand there *is* photographic evidence (let alone the eyewitness reports) showing both severe structural damage *and* raging fires at WTC 7? Really, you got off on a relatively polite footing here, but your insistence on ignoring every fact we try to feed you is just plain insulting.

A complete thesis.

Please include all the firefighter’s statements, the extent of the damage to the building and the subsequent damage caused by the fires.

Please include how the pre planted explosives survived the fire, and where they were placed. You could also suggest what type of explosives that was used.

Please also provide all your calculations, you modeling and any other relevant information you have. Please include in your thesis all the known facts about what happened to WTC 7 on 911.

I await your thesis. You tube videos are not relevant, nor is *it looked like a controlled demolition* or is *Larry said Pull it*.

I want a complete, scientific thesis. Bit like the one NIST are working on.

So on you go.

Not all of us, here, have so deeply researched the events of 9/11/2001 to speak with any authority on the subject. I, for one, would not presume to be able to convince you, or anyone else for that matter, on the correctness of any particular explanation of WTC 7's collapse.

Then again, why should I? You are the one who promised in your opening post to convince me of something, not the other way around. Got somethin' to say? Then, please, for God's sake, just say it (and without all the meaningless hand-waving).

Oh, and one last thing. You know that video? I didn't find it compelling. Sorry.

Finally, we agree. The building cannot collapse faster than free fall, unless there is a force pushing it down in addition to gravity. Now, show us how the building did exactly that. Then explain how a CD would result in that. Remember, CDs simply weaken/destroy supports, then gravity takes over. So how should the rate of a CD be any different than the official story?

1. It was in 1904
2. He never achieved controlled flight.

Lilienthal had a heavier-than-air machine previous to the Wrights, though. In fact, reports of his flights were what got Wilbur and Orville interested in the problem of flight.
