Rick Santorum was probably the most conservative Congressperson in America and now he has been defeated. This is a particularly beautiful moment for me because he was MY senator (in name only). So long pal.

1) He villified all forms of same sex relationships and supported the same-sex marriage amendment in the US Const.

2) He spearheaded an attempt to have intelligent design taught nationwide. (The Santorum Amendment)

3) He voted to make flag burning illegal.

4) When discussing the Catholic priest scandal he said, "It is startling that those in the media and academia appear most disturbed by this aberrant behavior, since they have zealously promoted moral relativism by sanctioning "private" moral matters such as alternative lifestyles. Priests, like all of us, are affected by culture. When the culture is sick, every element in it becomes infected. While it is no excuse for this scandal, it is no surprise that Boston, a seat of academic, political and cultural liberalism in America, lies at the center of the storm."

5) He is against contraception in all of its forms.

Bite me Rick. Have a nice life being a wackjob. End rant.

Did CNN say what percentage of republicans voted for the winner?

14%

I can understand that though. Santorum was Righty McRightwinger. A moderate conversative could certainly oppose him. What I don't get is how a moderate democrat could vote for a man who looked down on working mothers.

My question was just out of curiosity.

I don't understand how anyone could vote for him, but I know what you're saying. It is baffling.

oh he'll probably run again....

Jeb Bush keeps calling me on the phone...I live in NH...I know why he's callling

And, hopefully we all know that Ricky was honored by having his last name chosen by voters from all over the U.S. as the definition for the material that emerges following a back door session.

I really, really doubt that Bush is so clueless or has the sheer chutzpah to try and put that moronic twit up for a SCOTUS seat.
