Schadenfreude is not one of humanity's more appealing tendencies.

I guess in my work I've seen enough people in legal trouble that I don't need to ask for whom the bell tolls.

That's all well and good but the guy is a major arrogant a-hole and his arguments are vacuous. On top of that he has been advised by his attorneys that he must pay taxes and he has been in trouble in the past for not paying taxes. So the guy is a greedy bastard who lacks remorse for his criminality.

Some people merit contempt and Hovind is one of those people.

Of course Haggard won't be going to prison for getting his "massage" and "throwing away his meth" (because he knew it was wrong). But maybe Hovind can "hook him up" with his new "friends"?

I know what you're saying, but how often do you see someone in trouble who was given plenty of warning and many opportunities to get themselves out of trouble? In Hovind's place I would apologize and try to pay my back taxes as quickly as possible. It is hard for me to feel sorry for people who are defiant and claim they're above the law, even after they've been convicted.

Now might be a good time to rethink this whole taxation issue. It's always puzzled me why anyone should be exempt from paying taxes on the basis of the spurious beliefs they hold.

Having everyone go through the system might shed some light on just how much the schemers and charlatans salt away. Genuine charities could easily be reimbursed.

I have wondered where all the money for those big/beautiful churches comes from, and after construction is complete, what happens to any leftover funds? Who keeps their eyes on all the church donations? Then again, these church leaders are supposed to be true Christians. They are people who can be trusted.;)

This guy has been steeling from many posters here for decades, what has befallen Dr Dino is not misfortune, but justice. There is no shame in taking joy in seeing a thief and fraudster receiving justice.
