Breaking news, small plane hit NY building

wtc7-fires-close.jpg

Fires this size can be knocked down with ONE 2 1/2 inch hand line and 4 men.
ONE hose team could have been sent to each floor where these relatively small fires were burning,
and I was repeatedly insulted in the LC 4 thread because I KNOW that being a firefighter does not in any way resemble a SPECTATOR SPORT.

Maybe now some of you can see that, since you have such a fine example to compare the two fires, and the FDNY's response to a similar structure.

Be sure to post what else they are saying over on LC about this.

I was banned from that place ages ago after only 3 posts :(

Here are some of the other comments for the LC impared.

I don't know which word is best to describe this... callous... stupid... pathetic.

Just hope the steel in this building doesn't 'melt' at 200 deg C. or so... whistlingb.gif

The entire inside is a blazing inferno of 2 apartments. The building is sure to callapse. It must the fire is worse than it was in WTC 7.

ok everyone, lets gets ready for that building to collapse! cause you know how easy a building will fall with a small hole and fires right?

I wonder how much of the aircraft will be found after it's over... vaporized ???

said it was a small multi-engine plane ... call me crazy ... but it doesnt look much like a plane hit it ... i mean none of the structure next to the windows was damaged too much it as all by the impact.

The building was not designed to take such high speed impacts with such explosive jet fuel that is like magical fire powder. Expect the building to fall.

LOOK AT THE FIRE, WORSE THAN WTC ROFL!!! Look for major collapse

[GUY JUST MENTIONS HE MAY OF HEARD BOMB] lolol!!!! here we go again

OMG, that buildings comming down! This building is not designed to handle an aircraft!

Well that shows what the fire looked like from the outside What did it look like on the inside?

From two pictures? Could you please get real? Two photos is not enough data for anything this complex.

You irk me. If you want an answer, go ask the people who actually know. Why the heck would you want to reveal how gullible you are by asking non-experts to give an expert opinion they aren't remotely qualified to give? Will you just believe any old thing, from any old person?

Sheesh.

There are no Jews in the building because it occurred just affter Succas where all Jews live in wooden huts. Of course New York Jews are allowed not to follow this traditions, well at least those in Manhattan

The two fires compare in no way to each other. WTC7 had uncontrolled fires over multiple floors. Also, there was a huge hole in WTC7. Read Gravy's paper, allready?

I'd be willing to bet that I'm not the only fireman in the world embarrased by the fact that the FDNY was unable to touch this fire.

Compare those images to the one's you saw today and ask yourself a simple question...
Why didn't the FDNY even TRY to put out the fires in tower 7 ?
Because it damn sure isn't as if they couldn't do it!

1. Lack of water pressure because the mains were busted when the towers fell.
2. Decision that the building was too damaged to be worth risk losing more lives. In this regard, Silverstein should appropriately be considered a (minor) hero of 9-11.

Thanks, but I'm not having a truth "movement"... simply refreshing the images of tower 7 in this thread since most of you here believe that the collapse of the building wasn't planned.

Thanks, but we don't need to be reminded of that fact. Usually it's the nutters who needs to be reminded.

Correct, and no water to fight the fires. Today they had plenty of water to fight with. Sheesh... go dig another hole. We've filled this one enough.

Read Gravy's Paper!

Brainster beat me!

Submersible (gratitious insult--You should have stayed under water a longer--gratitious insult), just a couple of notes...

The firefighters had some slight advantages this time in that:

1. The water mains were working and not torn up and unable to supply the hoses.
2. The rest of the building was intact and had suffered no other other structural damage.
3. The fires on the other side of the building (which of course you don't show) involved numerous floors and heavy fire.
4. 300+ firefighters hadn't already lost their lives.

Even Daffy Duck wouldn't sputter when he called you Despicable.

So you were at WTC 7 and know what the fire was like inside?

those were classified 12 alarm fires, damage to the WTC complex resulted in a lack of water pressure

todays was a 4 alarm, there was no problem getting water to the fires

do the math

About Dogtown's avatar... apparently someone discovered that (a) a pyramid looks like a triangle when drawn from the front, (b) and that the star of david looks like two triangles on on top of another.

Wow. That's some eeeeeeevil conspiracy he's got there.
