The act that would set standards for treatment of illegal combatants. House passed it September 27, 253-168 (12 abstentions).

Only 34 Democrats voted in favor of it.

After a late amendment was defeated today, the Senate is expected to pass a nearly identical version of the bill this evening. I'll post those results when available.

I think, in light of what we already know, that the act isn't there to set standards (which already are quite clear in the Constitution and Geneva Conventions) but to vague them up right quick.
