"Loose Change"? What does that even mean?

So, one question I've had, that I haven't seen addressed, is: Why is that film called "Loose Change"? It just seems like such a stupid name for a "documentary" about a terrorist attack that I'm sure it must have some "deeper" meaning, if only in the minds of those responsible.

Other elements of the CT revue have titles that at least make sense. "In Plane Sight", while a rather mundane pun, makes sense.

The response to LC, "Screw Loose Change", makes sense, as a double-layered insult to the LC bozos.

But "Loose Change"? WTF?

Does anyone have link to where this title is explained? Or can we just start making up bizzare explanations of our own?

Hey, what not, it's what they do, right?

Either that or it refers to the fact that the movie is a collection on insignificant little bits that don't add up to much. ;)

...and they use the reasoning that if 100 pennies equals a dollar then 911 was an inside job.

ha, i never knew he (supposedly) started it as a fictional story...sounds like something to make it more intersting, but even if he did, it is fitting and amusing and explains to me how he went from fiction to delusion. i think that is how a lot of CTs start out...they think the CTs are cool from an entertainment standpoint but they fall in love with the intrigue so much that they jettison reason in favor of fantasy.

I always thought it was because of the trillions in gold which allegedly went missing after the attack. The big bad gummint treating it like it was some loose change in someone's pocket, or something that got lost in a sofa or something.

So, then, where does Chewbacca fit in?????

Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!

man, that jury was stupid, theres 2 things wrong with that sentence

1: endor is not a planet, its a moon

2: chewbacca lives with han solo (on coruscant after the fall of the empire) ebcause he owes a life debt to him

:P

Loose change in your pockets jingles, makes noise, attracts attention, maybe even annoys people (as in "I wish he'd quit jingling that loose change in his pockets") but at the end of the day isn't very significant.

QED

I don't get it. According Avery and his buddies, isn't this something that he feels is significant, no matter how wrong he might be?

My old boss used to do that all the time. I called it "cointurbating".

I'm so glad you asked. I've been wondering this for a long time!

Yeah, I've been wondering about this ever since I first read about it. I was finally prompted to create a thread today when an earlier thread linked to http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/911truth.html in which he says "No, I don't know why it's called "Loose Change." ".

So, does no one out there know The Truth? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

cause it sounds cool.

Okay, I could accept that as an answer, but it doesn't even do that!

I'm pretty sure if we ever get an actual explanation, it'll end up being a sophomoric attempt at profundity that actually ends up just being obscure.

My guess:

A person with a lot of money doesn't worry much about the Loose change lying around, and for a very rich person even $10 or $100 could be loose change.

I think this is intended to be a double play:

1. The government viewed the casualties as "loose change", as a minor cost in order to get what they wanted.

2. The government knew there were several errors and discrepencies in their plot (according to the Troofers, anyway), but considered these "loose change" and not worth "picking up", cause we're all sheeple anyway.

A fictional movie he was GOING to produce?

Loose change seems pretty fictional to me as it is.

I read somewhere a quote from Avery where he states that he started developing the fictional Loose Change in 2002. Has anyone ever asked him if he thought using 9/11 for entertainment in 2002 was a really good idea? What kind of person would happily do a thing like that?
