What's It All About? Joe Lieberman!

That's the conclusion of John Aravosis of Americablog:

And isn't it queer that the emergency is declared within a day of Republican party leader Ken Mehlman launching an all-out offensive against Democrats following Joe Lieberman's loss in Connecticut, an offensive in which Mehlman, the White House and Republican operatives are claiming that Democrats no longer care about national security or the war on terror.

Bottom line: Joe Lieberbush lost. The message is spreading across the land that incumbents who embrace the president are in serious trouble. And the Republicans needed to divert attention, to stop this meme in its tracks, and lo' and behold we have our first terror alert that I can recall since the last election, and it's our first ever Red Alert! What a coincidence!

I am sure the CTers will say (1) it was an attempt to throw people off the surgence of the 9/11 CT position in the mainstream, or (2) it was meant to throw attention away from Isreal so they could have more time to bomb...one of those two I am sure...

Gah, I just want to shake this guy and point out to him that there is a world outside of America, who frankly don't care whether Lieberman won his primary or not (or whatever it is that happened). This would eb the equivalent to a Conservative nutter in the UK saying that 9/11 was actually arranged by Stephen Byers as UK Minister for Transport as an excuse to "bury bad news" . Anybody who seriously believes that this level of security threat has been arranged in the UK by a Labour government as a PR exercise to gain advantage for the US Republican party in domestic politics is so deluded I believe it may actually be a medical condition.
I always thought that the stereotype of the average USAian as being ignorant on international affairs was very unfair (I still do), but I now have an overwhelming urge to grab this guy by the collar and scream at him, to quote Eddie Izzard, "You do know that there are other countries outside America, don't you?"

Sir.....there is and was no plot. If they knew who and where all the terrosits were then why the hysterics today when they are supposedly all behind bars. I would have though that the threat has gone to zero if it ever existed in the first place. If this was such a murderous plot what has prompted them to take action now, why was Blair allowed to go on holiday if it was known for some time, why is it such a coincidence that this happens just when Zionists, UK and US are aiding and abetting mass murder in Lebanon, where are the explosives etc etc. This stinks of the chemical bomb plot fiasco but this is worse cos its a stunt by blair. I just cannot believe all this hysterical language by the police, it has only been a few hours since so called suspects were arrested yet the police are making concrete statements about the guilt of the suspects. It smells very fishy and looks as if they had this whole episode pre-planned for some time......chuckle.

Simon Ralli, you are right, most of the so-called 9/11 hijackers have turned up alive and well.
As we now know, 7/7 was also an inside job which is why the government won't allow an independent inquiry.
This latest stunt was probably co-ordinated through Peter Power and Visor Consultants.

I should note some seem to be getting deleted and others are going off into everything is a conspiracy land, so not all are entirely about todays events.

I deliberately made it 8/10 since most people here seem to be from the US.

Personally I don't like this new habit of using dates for the attacks, it's a pain. And just wait until there's another one on 9/11 or 7/7, that'll get really confusing!

Interesting to see the nuts are already crawling out the woodwork. I'm wondering what theory/s they're going to settle down on once the dust settles, so to speak.

It does indeed, I've lived there almost a year now. I rather like it; big enough that it's got everything, small enough that nothing is very far away. Handy, since I don't own a car.

I think in some ways the CTers tendency to label every terror plot as a government operation is a blessing of sorts. It means that that new recruits don't just have to accept the 9/11 manifesto, but all the rest of the overarching crazy shadow government/NWO bull. So if you had a guy who was even somewhat level-headed interested in the 9/11 conspiracy, he may come to the conlcusion that's it's all nonsense once he gets he hit with the "everything ever is a conspiracy" line. In a sense, they're showing their true nutty-CT colors and hurting their own credibility.
 
To these CTers, there's a conspiracy when a terrorist attack happens, and a conspiracy when terrorist attacks are twarted before they happen... :confused:

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. These guys are in deep denial. Even if they were themselves victims of a terrorist attack, they'd still believe it wasn't the work of islamic terrorists. :mad:

Just out of curiousity, what makes you so sure it was Islamic terrorists? Paula Zahn told you?
 
I'm saying, you're faulting CTs for not believing it was muslims, when your claiming it was on evidence that's equally as fishy.

We are not saying the CTers are not believing it was Muslims, we are saying CTers even deny there was a terrorist plot.

Muslims extremists is an educated guess up until this point.
