Harry & Meghan "Returning to England"

Still don't understand what Hazza is so annoyed about: he was informed before the release of the letter, even if not by much; there is little, if anything, in Chucky's missive that would be factually inaccurate...

Does it not conform with "his truth"?

Oh dear. How sad. Never mind.

Now ◊◊◊◊ off back to being a "private citizen" and stop clogging up our news media with your self-entitled whining. And get a job! And pay some taxes!

Interesting that Chucky has to get one of his chief flunkies to issue reminders that Hazza isn't a HRH any more.

It's almost like someone expects someone else to make some spurious claims. Or at least spurious implications.

But our decent, honest, hard-working royals wouldn't think such a thing, as they are all as honest as an honest thing...
Meanwhile

Andrew has managed to slip under the radar

Uganda is pulling out of the Invictus Games, a sports event for wounded military veterans run by the Duke of Sussex, only two months after the country said it would join.

General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, chief of defence and son of the president, made the announcement in a social media post on X.

He said the decision to withdraw from the games was "in order not to be construed as being opposed to His Majesty King Charles III".

What now..? How incredibly sordid.

The Duchess of Sussex broke contact with her father last year, telling him she and the authorities knew he had abused young girls, the BBC understands.

Sources close to the duchess said Meghan warned Thomas Markle in a letter that he would never meet his grandchildren.

It is understood the letter was sent to Markle, 82, while he was in hospital in the Philippines after having his leg amputated.

It has been reported that images of child sexual abuse allegedly belonging to Markle had been found in his former home in the Philippines and UK police in 2019 told Meghan about claims of abuse against him. Markle, who is based in the US, denies all such allegations. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cqzjxg7l19yxo

Curiouser and curiouser. It seems to be a battle of the tabloids. So Murdoch's SUN has paid Thos. Jnr. $80,000 for his 'exclusive' story before the police have even had a chance to feel Thos. Snr's collar and interview him, let alone arrest and charge him. Then we have the DAILY MAIL especially hated by Harry & Meghan coyly referring to Caroline Graham as their 'Sunday Mail Reporter'. Graham, it seems, has been a close friend of Thos. Snr., and moved to the Philippines with him, encouraging pro-Thomas Markle stories. It's all very 'popcorn' :popcorn1 but wait_! Doesn't Graham have a ten-year-old daughter and what part of common sense doesn't tell her that overweight middle-aged hunkering men flock there for poor Filipinas attracted to wealthy westerners for cheap sex?

It's just disgusting.

Apparently the ex-wife (Meghan's mother), wrote the letter to Scotland yard reporting her ex as a paedophile. Which information they then conveyed to Meghan, who then wrote the letter to her father saying he would never seen his grandchildren.

Elderly Americans are encouraged to retire to the Philippines where care can be much cheaper. So given his health that may be an explanation.

To correct myself it was the first wife not Meghan's mother who wrote the letter.
A letter sent to the Metropolitan Police making a number of claims relating to the Duchess of Sussex's father was written by his ex-wife Roslyn Loveless, the BBC understands.

Meghan confirmed on Friday she had previously been informed about "disturbing allegations" about her estranged father, Thomas Markle.

On Saturday, the Met confirmed it received a letter relating to Markle in 2019, and it was shared with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at the time.

My take is, Meghan will have been extensively vetted by British Secret Intelligence Services as soon as she started dating Prince Harry, and when the relationship became known to the press, all security cleared, any adverse or embarrassing stuff from her past was 'cleaned' on social media and internet providers (similar to how a super-injunction is applied). So, whilst Meghan might have known what was being said about her Dad re his first wife's supposed letter that ended up at the Met, which they shared with her, she might not have known about the alleged stash of porn specifically (as going on holiday to Thailand is hardly a crime in itself). So, even if she knew her Dad was sleazy and MI6 provided adverse vetting for him, her claiming it was his wedding suit stunt with the press as the reason for his not attending, this could just have been an easy explanation out of the embarrassment, shame and social stigma of his being a paedophile or suspected paedophile.

In all a chaotic childhood and family, and explains a lot about her post-traumatic behaviour with the Royals, who will have viewed her family as 'common'.
