(CNN) — President Donald Trump signed a new executive order Wednesday that aims to slash the population of mosquitoes and ticks that spread disease in Washington, D.C.

The order directs federal agencies to cut the populations of Asian tiger and Egyptian mosquitoes in the nation’s capital by 90% by 2028.

It mandates a 50% cut in the tick population within the same time frame.

The Department of Health and Human Services, the EPA and the Department of the Interior would be involved in the effort.

I suspect they'll implement some sort of fogging scheme that will have near zero effect save for those with respitory issues.

ETA: Or they'll introduce formerly banned chemicals back into the enviroment because . . . hoax or something,
