Suleyman couldn't hack a philosophy and theology undergraduate degree. There's absolutely 0 chance he knows anything about what he's talking about.

He's just another business idiot taken in by the latest tech grift.

We were about to seize and search it, not attack it. And that would not have started a war, though it would have been a major diplomatic kerfuffle, and an embarrassment to us.

They don't need the latest to keep doing research. They just have to do it slower, or on a smaller scale. If the rest of the world voluntarily scales back and slows down, that's effectively the same as letting them catch up.

Most AI corporate investment in the USA has gone towards making models smarter. Really rigorous safety research needs to be invested in on a big level.

Likely means strict government legislation will be/is required to force labs to allocate massive compute resources to security infrastructure around these AI models. Meaning strict standards and considerable human oversight.

Many people think that the words “Artificial Intelligence” are inaccurate, and very ineloquent, relative to AI, or Artificial Intelligence.
A far more elegant and accurate description of this new phenomena would be Superior Intelligence (SI) or, Extreme Intelligence (EI) or, Supreme Intelligence (SI).

Doubtful. For one thing, it's not clear that we CAN develop human level AI. But even supposing we do, there's no reason to expect that it will be cheaper than human labor in most cases. Or that it won't open up new job categories.

It's also very possible that AI will turn into a bubble. In which case, we should let it pop on its own rather than try a government takeover.

Donald says he's forming an AI Force

I am forming the AI Force, much like I did Space Force, which has been a tremendous SUCCESS, in my First Term.
To that end, I will be announcing, in the near future, the AI “Czar” — Only High I.Q. individuals need apply!
AI is the next Industrial Revolution, or Internet, but will be even larger and more impactful, possibly as much as 25% of our Country’s GDP .
We are leading China, and the rest of the World, and I intend to keep it that way!
