General UK politics VIII - The Last Tory

A former Conservative MP has announced she is joining Reform UK, saying she wants to pursue "more radical solutions to our country's problems".

Jane Stevenson, who represented Wolverhampton North East for the Conservatives between 2019 and 2024, made the announcement after Reform's conference in Birmingham

Ie she was never getting selected again for the tories.

Back in Parliament I told the Minister what people in Fareham, Waterlooville and Portsmouth are feeling. And I asked for important reassurances.

I was actually in the Chamber today speaking out for the protesters. Not filling out worthless bits of paper. Only 4 MPs spoke out in support of the protesters. All 4 were @reformparty_uk MPs
Yes there were only four of ye willing to speak in favour of traitors.

Seems to be a non-British post. Also, that's an A-10 Warthog that has supposedly sunk that British boat. The RAF doesn't field that type. All round AI ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ slop.
I was going to comment on the aircraft.

I guess it'd be a bit too on the nose to have a stuka dive bombing the lifeboat

Once again I point to Orwell's Nineteen Eighty Four and the scene when an audience cheers footage of a boat full of refugees being bombed. They've taken the warning and made it a roadmap.

My parliamentary motion on the 'right to peaceful protest against illegal immigration' was officially tabled last night.

So far, it has no support from any other MP - all have been invited to sign it.

The disconnect between this parliament and the British people is staggering.

We already have the right to peaceful protest, you performative idiot!

Why do you think no-one played along with your execrable publicity stunt, you utter stunt?

🚨NEW: Southampton Port and Portsmouth Harbour both refused to allow RNLI lifeboats carrying illegal migrants to dock on Sunday

They both threatened RNLI crews with prosecution if they approached their ports, forcing the lifeboats to head to the smaller port at Eastney instead.

The Argentine government has said that it would file criminal charges against oil company Navitas Petroleum for operating in seas off the Falkland Islands.

The move came just days after Argentine President Javier Milei said he would sanction oil companies drilling in the British overseas territory in the south-west Atlantic Ocean

A council leader is stepping down from the role less than four months after taking up the position.

Reform UK's Graham Harrison was selected as Hartlepool Borough Council's leader in May, after the party secured more seats than anyone else in the local election.

In a statement on Monday, he said he had made the "very difficult decision" to stand down as a recent change in his personal circumstances meant he was "no longer able" to commit the required time.

A new leader will be appointed at an extraordinary meeting of the council on 15 September, with Harrison set to continue representing the Burn Valley ward as a councillor...

We get all this bull ◊◊◊◊ because Trump said something disobliging about the UK claim to the Falklands, purely because he wanted to twist our arm about something else.

He also said something similarly disobliging about the cost of military exercises to defend South Korea, because he wanted to needle the Koreans too.

He's playing with matches and he's going to get people killed. What a ◊◊◊◊.

Completely "spontaneous" all those paramilitary clad types just happening to turn up in Dover all together and just happening to leave all together after having stood around blocking roads all together...

Good work, Kent Police!
