Apollo 11 Moon Landing Revisited: Hoax ~vs~ Debunk

And Armstrong a recluse?
No. Not being a public attention whore doesn't make someone a recluse.
It all means absolutely nothing one way or the other. Stop fixating on personalities. You can be the nicest person in the world yet have been taken for a monkey's uncle by Nixon.
I think your real issue is that no one here has been taken for a monkey's uncle by your line of ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊.

Oh, you haven't even scratched the surface. Armstrong, Gus Grissom, and Gene Cernan all went to Purdue. Plus, all those intrepid twoofers know that the Civil Engineering and Computer Science departments are complicit in hiding the truth about the September 11 attacks. And Purdue financed Amelia Earhart's final flight. :jaw-dropp
All true! When my wife got her first engineering degree from Purdue in '93, there was a secret ceremony, presided over by Amelia Earhart's living brain in a jar, in which they learned all about the link between Earhart, the Showa Emperor and Hannah Milhouse leading to the plot to fake the existence of the moon so they could fake sending people there.

I should not have said that.

When people point out things that she is undeniably, provably wrong about, does she accuse them of misogyny?

Now your wife is going to be in big trouble.

Yeah, some frat will try to do it.

While drunk.

I slept with Amelia.

Well, I slept IN Amelia.

This is getting worse.

I slept in Earhart Hall the first summer I was at Purdue. They had one dorm open with the twin towers segregated. The two top floors were reserved for alums who honored our aviatrix.
I totally made out with the future Mrs. Zygote in Windsor Halls, which is where Earhart lived when she was on the faculty. Although Mrs. Zygote lived in Wood Hall (all four years) and Earhart lived in Duhme Hall (the pronunciation of which was the subject of many a joke, as I recall).

Also, @Vixen, please complete this sentence:

"The Telstar satellite was required for TV broadcast in 1962 because ______________________."
I know it is bad form to answer a question with another, but this is pertinent.

Question; What was the first geostationary communication satellite and what live international sport was the first to be broadcast by it?

Syncom 3, Tokyo Olympics 1964.

Why was it needed?

Why was Telstar needed in 1962?

Answer the question.

Holy bouncing nuns, @Vixen, you cannot be as clueless as you are trying to appear, surely?

Communication satellites are used to bounce radio signals between locations without direct line of sight (because earth not flat).

Face of moon that always points at earth always has direct line of sight with earth, so no need satellite. Not big-brain thinky, even my withdrawl addled brain can still remember and understand this think from school - why not you?

You am ok?

Answer the question.

And the reason Syncom 3 was useful as a geostatioanry communication satellite was because...? Think global positioning of USA vs Japan.

What was the big physical drawback of Telstar? Think, height of orbit and correct positioning.

As has been determined re longitude, the Earth spins at about 15.04° per hour, or, a rotational speed of 1,041mph at the Equator.

Vixen has her own reality. No one else can participate.

And there is always a receiver that can collect a signal from the Moon and pass it on to places that have no line-of-sight to the Moon. The satellite is not needed for that original receipt, right?

FFS, I used to work as a professional astronomer, you are incapable of teaching me anything about orbital mechanics, satellites, the Moon, or anything else remotely related to Physics or astrophysics. Please stop trying to speak to me like I am an idiot who needs leading to a great discovery.

I asked YOU a very simple question, please have the common courtesy to answer as simply as you can.

Unless of course you don't know the answer, or are so rude as to think that I don't deserve one.
