On this day in history.

Always makes me a bit sad to see Roy Kinnear in old films and re-runs, such a lovely man, killed by sheer incompetence.

One of my favourite 'forgotten' sitcoms is Inside George Webley. It starred him and Patsy Rowlands. He played a nervous bank clerk.

1536 Buddhist monks from Kyoto's Enryaku-ji Temple set fire to 21 Nichiren temples throughout Kyoto in the Tenbun Hokke Disturbance

Just a disturbance, nothing major. Hmm, maybe Trump should transition to calling it the Iranian Disturbance

1945 V-J Day, the Empire of Japan surrenders unconditionally to the Allies, ending World War II

Something tells me randomly kissing a woman on the street would not fly today, no matter how happy everybody was.

Great is the power of ignore.
Is there a way to ignore just the posts where Andy hilariously* puts the wrong photo in a post about a person he mentions?

Edit: by "ignore" I mean "cause not to appear on the web page". I already know how to literally ignore them.

*in his own mind, even if nobody else's.
