Sometimes, in the shower, it amuses me to think of these things like...

In terms of materials, and harnessing raw power, a modern jet engine is pretty much Feanor-level tech. Same with stealth materials and shapes. We're talking captured the light of the Two Trees type artifice, here. A constellation of artificial moons that leverage relativistic effects to tell you exactly where you are at all times? Sauron wishes he had magic on this level.

So it's kind of fun to say that a GPS-guided jet-engined cruise missile, launched from standoff range by a stealth bomber, is a pretty goddamn paranormal method for killing a head of state.

Of course, Putin has his own magical wards and guards, too. So it's not as simple as just going "paranormal" on his ass.

Obviously this isn't what @wise47 is talking about, but his idea of "paranormal methods" runs into some of the same problems. If we can go after Putin with magic of some kind, the same magic is available to Putin as well.

So either we can't stop Putin because he has paranormal methods of protection commensurate with our methods of attack, or we're already in a paranormal cold war with him, where nobody is willing to cast the first spell for fear of magical retaliation.

Wise imagines these paranormal methods exist, but Putin doesn't already have a basement full of adepts applying those same methods against his enemies and for his own protection.

The way Wise describes Hitler, he' already a demigod-class immortal entity, that can effect change in the world from the immaterial plane, and can incarnate periodically to wreak havoc in physical as well as metaphysical form. But somehow we can get our hands on magic powerful enough to stop Hitler's avatar, Vladimir Putin?

I just figured that @wise47 could just rev his brain up to his claimed 1600 I.Q. and burn down Putin with an appropriately focused psionic blast. He can even borrow my dice if he needs to.

Maybe Vladimir Putin is just Koschei the Endless. He can't be killed because he's hidden his life inside a needle inside an egg inside a duck inside a goose inside a chest inside an island inside a cloud in a distant realm.

If that's the case, no mere paranormal method will suffice.

Volodymyr Zelensky will probably have to...

1. ... venture into the forest...
2. ... earn a favor by helping a woodland creature...
3. ... meet Baba Yaga...
4. ... succeed at her impossible tasks by calling in the favor from earlier...
5. ... thus winning the prize of the secret to killing Vladimir Putin.

Then he'll have to go on a whole other journey, and have many more distinctly slavic adventures, before he finally finds and ends Putin's life.

Either that or Kyrilo Budanov is already on such a quest, and that's why we haven't heard from him lately.
