Root: You have the right to declare a national security emergency for elections. If you do this in the next month, we will get photo ID, proof of citizenship, and a limit to mail-in ballots…

Trump: Let me just say stranger things have happened. I'll leave it at that

No, Donny. Stranger things have NOT happened.

I think the wealthy should pay more, but I am NOT in favor of de facto confiscation and limits on how sucesssful a person can be..
Nowdays a great many middle income people who invested wisely in thier 4k accounts have a couple of million in the accounts.
Sorry but the hatred of anybody who has a dime more then they do is one of the things I do not like about many "Progressives".
I say repeal the last two GOP tax cuts. Trying to go back to the 90% tax brackets is not a reasonable idea.

When progressives talk about properly taxing millionaires and billionaires the vast majority are not talking about the person who worked their whole life to save up a couple million in their 401k. Basically no one is talking about a 90% tax on a couple million. This is like the meme of people against it because they're worried they will be affected when really 99.999% of them will never make enough for it to matter and would likely benefit from the better services those taxes could provide.

And the whole progressives having hated for anyone with more money than them is literally a bs republican talking point.

Is that what you are at this point? A "centrist" that constantly spouts bad republican talking points?

How else could you be a centrist these days? When you derive your political identity from being "in the center," what that means is going to shift based on where the ends are. And right now one end is veering toward Idiocracy by way of Brazil.

Democrats are now favored to win the Senate on Polymarket, 51%-49%. Here's the updated grid; the big difference is that Talarico is now slightly favored over Paxton. I've updated the grid to include Iowa, as that race is looking more in play as well. Note that the Democrats need to win five of the seven races in order to lock up the majority. They are now favored on Polymarket in six of the races which would give them 52 seats in the upper chamber (counting two independents who caucus with the Democrats).

Would the last two cells be 8.0 and 1.3?

I also consider myself a moderate person (healthcare is a basic human right in a wealthy society like mine, women have bodily autonomy, I support the right of all gender identities and sexual orientations to be themselves, no to genocide, no to this insane war, you know, whatever any sensible moderate person believes) but most of my neighbors and business associates that know me think I’m a raving leftist loony.

Seems like this has been under the radar for awhile. Senate candidate Rep. Mike Collins son-in-law is a white nationalist influencer and has ties to his business. He literally ended a news conference when asked about and still now hasn't addressed it. Don't think Ossoff will have that much of a problem with him.

Re Wisconsin; I think the Dems dodged a bullet there. Nomnating somebody who attacked Thanksgiving was not a good diea. That kind of crap might play well on college campusus, but out n the real world it is a non starter.

Another bad night for the pollsters; remember El-Sayed was supposed to win by double digits and barely made it.

I saw someone on the tv say that Crowley just pumped massive amounts of money out on ads in the final weeks and that's what turned it around. So that the polling wasn't that wrong it just didn't capture the final days of the campaign. Not sure I buy that but that's the thinking of the pollsters.
