Trump's Second Term

I'm guessing it involves a young female staffer begging Trump to "LEGO!"
Or it turns into an incoherent rant: "Leggo my Eggo, remember that? Boy that was something, wasn't it? You had the two kids their fighting over their Eggos, I don't know, maybe one of them got it. But Leggo my Eggo? You all remember that don't you? I think they were waffles or something like that. Were there eggs in them too? But you had the two kids fighting over a waffle and only one of them got one. I'm pretty sure it was the boy who got it, man oh man that was something else, I tell you. LEGGO MY EGGO!"

Trump loses 21 straight court battles for state voter rolls as midterms near

A Reuters investigation found that just 129 people have been prosecuted for noncitizen voting since a law criminalizing it was passed in 1996, and that most of those cases stemmed from voter confusion or miscommunication with election officials rather than any conspiracy.

Repeatedly, and as recently as this week, judges have found the U.S. Constitution gives states primary responsibility for running federal elections and that federal voting laws do not require them to hand over the records.

Trump: "No way, pick 4".

Well at least it's something to bicker over while we make some more bombs.

"Until America corrects its behavior, the Strait of Hormuz will not open."

According to IRNA , Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, on Saturday, August 8, in a message congratulating the brave journalists and soldiers in the field of news, awareness and information, referring to the latest situation in the country and the region, announced: Until America corrects its behavior, the Strait of Hormuz will not open.

Behavior correction means:

1 - Never threaten Iran with any language or insult the sanctities of this nation.

2- End the war and aggression against Iran and its allies in Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, and Iraq forever.

3- Lift the naval blockade and withdraw its military forces (naval and air) from around Iran.

4 - Pay the damages of the two wars of aggression and imposition on Iran without any reduction or reduction.

5 - Lift the cruel and illegal sanctions against the Iranian nation.

6- Unconditionally release the frozen and stolen assets of the Iranian people.

He reminded: "These are the demands of the Iranian people who have been shouting for it in the streets and squares for one hundred and sixty days."

The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council emphasized: The Supreme National Security Council will never back down, whether in war or in negotiations.

I get that you don't want Trump's gross stupidity to be a mitigating factor in his utterances and I agree that he will say anything that he thinks will be to his advantage. But to call that lying "strategically" is still stretching it IMO. I don't think he is clever enough to weigh the consequences of everything he says. He just expects everybody to worship him regardless.
Interestingly, I didn't say "strategically" in what I wrote. I am willing to argue that it is, indeed, strategic, though... in the same sense that vranyo can be called strategic, no matter how utterly nonsensical so very much of the crap that makes it up is. What Trump says only opportunistically involves truth or reason, exactly like vranyo. Instead, it works on completely different terms and refusing to acknowledge that can only really end up with a deeply flawed understanding of what's going on.

Is Trump stupid? That's effectively a given. Is he clever enough to weigh the consequences of everything he does? That's problematic framing. He doesn't need to be clever to follow the rules that he was taught by Cohn and to weaponize his stupidity. Rather than clever, shameless, without principles, and amoral would be more relevant concepts.
