I'm not sure I see a lot of evidence for that.Did Bernie Sanders lose his momentum?
His Fighting Oligarchy Tour was what finally put a stop to MAGA's momentum!
Or are you thinking of how the DNC supported the loser of the 2016 race instead of him?

That's because you have let conditions for working people deteriorate to the level of European countries in the 1940s and 1950s!Yeah, that is the one.
You have to clicke on the links to see just how radical they are.
In fact, frankly, it comes off to me much more hard line Marxist then what most European Social Democracies have.
No, they don't. In the link, they don't go very much beyond what some European countries have today:The fatal weakness is they want government to control EVERYTHING. That has been tried time and time again, and has failed tme and time again.
(Food isn't state-subsidized in Denmark. The other stuff is either free or subsidized to some extent. You have no debt. You don’t need health insurance. You don’t pay a mortgage or have a landlord, because comfortable housing is a human right. Your retirement is publicly funded. Food, education, energy, medicine, and transportation aren’t for-profit businesses; they are common goods and utilities.
The closest they come to talking about taking over the means of production is this, and there's a bit of a contradictio in adjecto:And I thin totally abolishing private industry, which is what they prety much want, would be a terrible move.
They also seem to not get that the kind of massive bureacury their scheme would requie becomes a power in it;s own right, and runs things in it;s own interest.
On the one hand, public ownership (which already exists in the USA to some extent: Trump's for it!), and on the other hand aggressive wealth taxes on the richest individuals, who still exist, apparently, in spite of public ownership of the largest corporations! My guess is that they aren't entirely serious about one or the other.Establish public ownership of the largest corporations and essential industries to ensure democratic control and accountability to the people. Enact aggressive wealth taxes on the richest individuals and corporations to spend on public goods and infrastructure.
Most of it has been realized in other countries. It's common sense, not utopianism. And some of it is just plain silly utopianism
I am not saying that everybody in the DSA buys into it. Sad thing is people join organziations just because they like the name.
You mean, the same way Trump has seized control of the GOP and establishment Democrats have seized control of the DNC?And maybe a small group of radicals within the DSA manages to seize control of the commitee that wrote this thing, and it does not stand for what most DSA want.
One thing I do know is that you don't know what you're talking about and are scared ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ by the momemtum that DSA and other progressives have finally achieved for the Democrats. You and other establishment Democrats (like James Carville) will no doubt be doing your utmost to put a spanner in it, so you can again roll over and play dead for another four years while the country sinks in the MAGA/oligarch swamp. But one thing I do know Any DSA member who runs on this platfrom is going to meet a quick death in November.
No, you wouldn't want to see any evidence for that.I'm not sure I see a lot of evidence for that.
I don't see why not. She doesn't have much name recognition but then I don't think Obama had a whole lot either early in his campaign. There's always a Cinderalla who gets early momentum, no reason she couldn't be one of them. Not sure if she could hold on to it -- I'm not an expert on her but a quick search shows she's pretty scandal-free. But yeah a high-level appointment sounds pretty likely.Elissa Slotkin?
"What, exactly, is Slotkin up to? Was this listening tour of the vast middle of the country — she has gone as far west as Idaho — just a play to cast herself as an attractive running mate, or perhaps even as a Defense secretary or CIA director?
“I’m going to Kansas because I want to be CIA director? That’s the criticism?” she responded. “I go to the Midwest because I think the existential threat to the country is actually not coming from abroad. It’s not Iran. It’s not China. It’s not terrorism. It’s the threat to the middle class. We cannot make good consistent decisions in this country if we’re constantly at each other’s throat and a pendulum swinging between Democrats and Republicans wildly, far left and far right. We won’t be able to make critical decisions for our country, and we certainly won’t be a leader abroad unless we figure out how to sustain a middle class in America.”
GOP Secretly Admits Socialist Will be Harder to Beat Than Moderate Democrats (The Humanist Report on YouTube, Aug 4, 2026 – 16:35 min.)
A leaked memo from Republican consultants determined that Wisconsin socialist Francesca Hong, a Democratic gubernatorial candidate, is actually going to be harder for the GOP to beat in the general election than a moderate Democrat. They cite how Hong’s “popular” platform will be “difficult to counter” and determined that a more moderate Democrat would suppress excitement and be easier to run against. In this video we’ll talk about this leaked memo and debunk the centrist “electability” myth pushed by the Democratic establishment.

Leaked memo shows Republicans privately see Francesca Hong as "uniquely dangerous" in the general election & that “more moderate and establishment Democratic alternatives would likely produce lower base motivation and depressed turnout":
Will Francesca Hong and Abdul El-Sayed Get Elected? (Ken Klippenstein on Substack, Aug 3, 2026)
Per the memo, as reported by Opoien:
Now compare that with the doomsaying national media coverage. It’s almost surreal how different it is.
- Hong’s “combination of grassroots momentum, unapologetically progressive ideology, and a platform centered on high turnout makes her uniquely dangerous in the general election.”
- Hong’s platform is “broadly popular and difficult to counter.”
- Her agenda “is built around kitchen-table issues that poll strongly with independents, working families, and even some rural voters.”
- “more moderate and establishment Democratic alternatives would likely produce lower base motivation and depressed turnout.”
You won't see a lot of evidence for a lot of what Dann says.I'm not sure I see a lot of evidence for that.
No, you wouldn't want to see any evidence for that.
Your should try googling, "How did the Fighting Oligarchy Tour affect MAGA?"
Start reading something other than the NYP and watching something other than Fox News.
I think we have been over this numerous times. Clinton lost the general election, yes, but not the primary. The DNC may well have preferred Clinton over Sanders because they thought the latter was electoral suicide. We don’t have access to an alternative universe where we could test that hypothesis but as it has been pointed out a number of times, the fact that the GOP really wanted to run against Sanders, particularly in 2020, should be a hint of what they thought he would be like. Clearly they had a lot of oppo research on him and the fact that occasionally Trump’s big mouth let loose with “crazy Bernie” when he was trying to pretend he was a noble adversary should give a hint what the attack lines would be.Or are you thinking of how the DNC supported the loser of the 2016 race instead of him?
But it usually pretty weak evidence.dann almost always posts a link to the source he's discussing in his posts, so saying he doesn't present any evidence is imo a dishonest statement
But it usually pretty weak evidence.
Of course you support him, because you seem to be pretty much a No Enemies To The Left guy yourself.

Perro never was considered one of the countrys great legal eagles. That is the thing. With most Presidents, they have no problem enlisting top flight legal minds. but Trump just cannot, and one reason his long history of try to screw over his attorneys.Well, that's a ringing endorsement for Pirro!![]()
you’re always so confidently saying the most foolish thing

Stolen valor, btw.
So she wants to play at being America's next Franz von Papen then.Elissa Slotkin?

Congratulations to @AbdulElSayed on winning the Michigan Democratic primary to be our nominee for US Senate. Abdul has my full endorsement and support.
This was a brutal primary (believe me, I know). And Trump and Mike Rogers are counting on us staying divided. Let's prove them wrong by beating Mike Rogers and taking our country back.

ABDUL EL-SAYED WINS MICHIGAN PRIMARY!! (MeidasTouch on YouTube, Aug 5, 2026 – 18:45 min.)
MeidasTouch host Ben Meiselas reports on Abdul El-Sayed defeating Haley Stevens in the Michigan Democratic primary.
Teddy Schleifer on X, Aug 5, 2026
Final NYT numbers on Haley Stevens v. Abdul El-Sayed:
— Six outside groups spent $62 million for Stevens, giving her a nine-to-one spending advantage over Abdul
— Half of that Stevens spend, $32 million, came from AIPAC's super PAC
— AIPAC's super PAC spent more than any single group has in a federal Democratic primary this cycle
Teddy Schleifer on X, Aug 5, 2026
None of the six groups that spent for Stevens disclosed most of their donors.
The replies to her post are ... interesting!Haley Stevens on X, July 31, 2026
Abdul, we were both on the ballot in 2018. I was capable of winning my competitive primary and general election.
You lost. You lost by over twenty points to Gretchen Whitmer and you will lose to Mike Rogers by talking like this.
Everyone in America understands you want to blame all of your problems on Jewish Americans.
But buddy, let me be very clear, I will lower the costs of groceries, ban stock trading for elected officials, stop Trump's abuses of power, and protect Michigan manufacturing.
And you’ll just be a celebrity whining and writing books to get even richer. You’re part of the complainer class, looking for their next book or podcast deal.
Bro, I just want to work for Michigan.

It is extremely dumb to talk about evidence while posting an abject lie with no evidence whatsoever. You won't see a lot of evidence for a lot of what Dann says.
