Up here are literally hundreds and thousands of shining, twinkling, and flashing stars. And they're shining and flashing and twinkling and flashing and...Clearly the Apollo 11 photos were faked, because as you can clearly see in this actual photo you can in fact capture stars quite easily :

The comparison that always comes to my mind was the 10,000 or so people who worked on wartime codebreaking at Bletchley Park. The Enigma story didn't leak into the public domain for over 30 years. There was at least one old married couple who only discovered in the late '70s that they had both worked there.57 years and not one person of the hundreds of thousands who worked on the project has ever broken their silence to claim, even to their own family, that their contribution was to help fake it. The US government control over their citizens is astounding.
I'd like to see how someone thinks an uncut VFX shot that long was created in 1969.Oh hey, Happy 57th Anneversary of Apollo 11 landing on the moon...which actually happened...
Since this is clearly a CGI image, nothing in this image could be used to prove/disprove the actual landing.Clearly the Apollo 11 photos were faked, because as you can clearly see in this actual photo you can in fact capture stars quite easily :

No, it's not CGISince this is clearly a CGI image, nothing in this image could be used to prove/disprove the actual landing.

In US history, the best exmple (I can think of) of a large scale secret project was F-117 program, which went operational in 1979 based out of Tonopah. But that was maybe 700 to 1,000 people maximum. They had their own tanker crews for refueling, and they flew against unaware US Army anti-aircraft crews in Nevada, and California. The comparison that always comes to my mind was the 10,000 or so people who worked on wartime codebreaking at Bletchley Park. However, nothing is ever 100% secure - ever. Early in 1981/1982 Hasagawa, the Japanese model maker, released an updated USAF A-7D kit (in 1/72 scale). The F-117 project's cover story was a squadron of A-7D were receiving avionic upgrades, and were being tested in Nevada. The box art for this particular kit featured a silver disk-shaped aircraft pealing away in the background, and this shape was one of the common publically speculated designs for the mythical stealth fighter:

So even with all the security keeping the F-117 under wraps, someone working in a Japanese model kit company knew what was actually going on out there, and the box art was a polite wink in their direct. And yes, the USAF command at Tonopah had a minor stroke when they saw the kit. So in less than three years, the existence of an operational stealth fighter was known by a foriegn entity.
There is no way they could fake the Apollo missions.
Decided to work my way through the the thread and catch up. Then realized I was more than 30 pages behind. Again. Did I miss anything?
The F-19 models I saw were nothing like the actual F-117. Ben Rich even talked about this in his book, Skunk Works.Don't forget that Project Stealth Fighter was released to the Commodore 64 while the government was still denying the existence of the F-117. And the MicroProse F-19 PC game was in development well before the Air Force finally admitted the existence of the F-117 in November 1988 (the same month as the MicroProse game release), and still was able to depict the general shape and characteristics of the F-117.
The image used for modeling in the game. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:F19-projections.gif.... Testors was making a fortune with a model they called the F-19, claiming it was America’s supersecret stealth fighter. They took the front end of our Blackbird, put a couple of engines on it, and advertised it as the stealth fighter.
So, now that we are all on the same page, tell us which satellite was used to beam TV images to earth, and whilst you are busy, the logistical steps by which to set it up for that exact time and place.
Then what is it?No, it's not CGI
