Apollo 11 Moon Landing Revisited: Hoax ~vs~ Debunk

You are the one asking us to suspend credulity that Nixon ringing up the guys on the Moon was all normal every day stuff. It just goes to prove why politicians get away with whatever they get away with.
Who said talking to people on the moon was "everyday stuff"? Well of course nobody said that. But the idea that a phone call might be routed through various hops and links, some of which might be radio links, is and was completely mundane.

The question is not whether talking to people on the moon was mundane, it's which aspect of it you want to imply is incredible? Please try to be specific.

Nixon absolutely did make a phone call to the moon.

Do you have some kind of mental block that makes you imagine a phone call is not real if there's a radio link involved? Do you think mobile phone calls are not phone calls? What is your problem here?
I'm all ears.

Here's my listening pose. Explain how 'Nixon rang up the guys on the Moon surface' proves that the guys were on the Moon surface or how it makes the claim stronger.

That presupposes (a) they were on the surface of the Moon, and (b) all Nixon had to do was to pick up his phone and all the magic radio rerouters and stuff via Houston would fix it for him so that that the guys were there at the right place and time to take his call. "Not now, mate, I'm busy!"
a) Yes. They were on the moon.
b) The call was planned. Because of ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ course it was. Why else were there cameras in the Oval Office to watch it happen?

You're scraping the barrel a bit now, and it really doesn't look as if you had any cogent point in mind at all when you tried to brush criticism aside with your "whoooosh" handwave.

Because of all the mountains of other evidence and the fact that independent, third parties with suitably radio equipment could listen to the transmissions from the moon.

Before you say it, yes they knew the transmissions originated from the moon because they were using appropriate directional antenna to listen.

You're going to wear yourself out shoving those goalposts around.

You may have forgotten but nobody else here raised the topic of Nixon's phone call as evidence for the moon landings. You raised it yourself. You found it in some way preposterous. But ever since then you seem to have difficulty in articulating which aspect of it you found so.

◊◊◊◊ or get off the pot. Which aspect of Nixon's call to Tranquility Base do you say was not possible?

Because he just decided on the spur of the moment to call the moon without any preparation or scheduling beforehand.
I suppose the reporters were just there to film it by coincidence.

You have to wonder at anyone managing to exist in the business world yet unable to grasp the concept of 'scheduling'.

Or maybe it's "But a Moon Day is 708 hours long, how could they match the time up". Or maybe it's like the gravity thing, since there's a 29.5:1 ratio between the days, their theory is that time is slower on the Moon? Honestly at this point nothing is ruled out.

Nixon, such an exemplar of honesty and integrity, was there to meet the guys off the helicopter, like some kind of cheeky-chappie Hughie Green or Bruce Forsyth to exchange witty repartee for the tv studios, from the three astronauts encased in a box, their cheerful shiny faces peering out from behind the glass. Just touched down from a frightfully stressful reentry into Earth without breaking up. It's amazing Nixon didn't have a couple of extra boxes, one containing a car and the other a booby prize, and asking the tv audiences at home which one he should open first.

Sorry to be flippant but we-eeeeell...

Reality check.

Well...

(a) - They WERE ON THE MOON.

(b) - There are things called "CLOCKS". People use them to tell time. There are also things called, "SCHEDULES", which are used to optimise duties within a timed structure. The phone call with the President was scheduled within a window of time allowing the astronauts to return to the LM, get out of their suits, and get ready for the call. The LM had a clock, and the astronauts wore portable time-pieces called, "WRIST WATCHES", allowing them to know what time it was just by looking at their wrists. The President also had at least one clock in his office, and wore his own wrist watch.

So when it was time, the phone call was made. Got it?

WTF is this idiotic garbage supposed to be?

Sorry to be flippant but that's all you've got, I infer you mean.

So, you have no technical objection to the practicalities of linking a phone call to a radio link.
You realise there's nothing remotely odd about the President of the US having a phone call placed for him.
You realise that a phone call which includes a radio link is still a phone call because, duh, 99% of phone calls now do.

There's nothing left but to make stupid remarks about Nixon being a poopy head. You never had a point in the first place. So ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ much for your six steps ahead posturing, eh?

Does this mean you 'Owned' us?

Is that the term people use?

That's President Poopy Head, thank you very much.
