Apollo 11 Moon Landing Revisited: Hoax ~vs~ Debunk

Just thinking: wouldn't nearly all highly numerate people with IQs in the top 0.1% be found in the highest echelons of national/international business, commerce or politics? Surely it'd otherwise be a shocking waste of such talent?
It is certified and true. Please bear that in mind next time you abuse me as though you were addressing an idiot.
You are not the smartest person in the room.
We can't be certain of that. For all we know, she never sits down to read this forum until she is absolutely sure there is no one else in her room.

Which would explain how she can simultaneously be among the most intelligent 0.1% of those in the room, and also among the least intelligent 0.1% of those in the room. While remaining unable to communicate effectively with the other 99.8% of herself that sits within the room.

If you are a victim of anything in this forum, it is of your own bad behavior.
Of that, however, we can be certain.

President Nixon claimed to have rung up the astronauts on the Moon direct from his White House telephone because he was too dim to realise there were no telephone wires on the Moon. Telephone all used to be by wires, remember. So a story had to be conjured up that er, his 'direct line to Apollo 11' went via bouncing around various radio stations instead. Well, it has plausible deniability.
AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
Are you really so stupid as to be unaware of radio links for telephony?
Until 1956 all transatlantic phone calls were carried by radio
The really funny thing is that she's just parroting one of the dumbest CT arguments. One that's usually put forth by people in their twenties who think that pre 2005 we were all living in caves and hunting mammoths.
The quarter-inch phone jack was invented in 1877, and was in very widespread use by the 1950s. As an amateur radio operator at the time of Apollo 11, I myself owned a communications receiver whose inputs and outputs were capable of patching between landline telephony and radio communications. (And, not many years afterward, I held Amateur Extra Class, FCC Second Class Radiotelegraph, and FCC First Class Radiotelephone licenses. The last of those three licenses, which looked exactly like this one except for the information typed into it, bears witness to the fact that radiotelephony was a real thing.)

There are clever people, and not so clever people.

There are people who make the effort to properly inform and educate themselves, and people who never bother to do so.

It's perfectly possible for not so clever people to know far more than clever people.

It's even possible for clever people to be pig ignorant.

Just sayin'.
It is also possible for pig ignorant people to be pig ignorant. Hence this thread.
Despite your best efforts, nobody is going to believe you're that stupid.
I believe. Of course, I also believe it's not butter.

Please refer to the reference I indicated on a previous page re Allen discussing the radiation issue.
You posted an incoherent claim regarding the Saturn V and the Gemini spacecraft. It was addressed insofar as its incoherence allowed. That in turn followed my correction to your completely made-up claims regarding the translunar departure trajectory, which you never addressed. Do not expect your critics to follow every hoof print in your Gish gallop.

Why should I consider Marcus Allen any sort of authority on space engineering?

Not even close to evening up the balance sheet (a thing accountants use, so you've probably never heard of it). The pile of ◊◊◊◊◊ you've posted here, added to your abject dishonesty, couldn't be levelled if you added Jesus and Barry ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ John.
Please go get your coat.

This rekindled memories of me and my dad bumping into Phil Bennett in WH Smith in Llanelli :)

From context, it seemed to me that Vixen may have meant to be referring to a NASA manned mission post-Apollo (ie Artemis) rather than pre-Apollo (eg Gemini). Expect a "soz" incoming some time before too long...

Yes, she probably means the Orion spacecraft launched on SLS for missions in the Artemis program. But she was given enough clues along the way that she should have realized her mistake. I'm seeing how deeply she'll dig herself into that hole before trying to correct a mistake that no one familiar with the U.S. space program would ever make. She also doesn't seem to know the difference between a spacecraft and a launch vehicle.

"But I've learned all the facts."

Oh, I have quite a few of them, as they're still the most common connection for electric guitars and bases, as well as all manner of stage sound equipment. Crazy to think it's been around for a century and a half.

My maternal grandmother was also a Bell telephone operator back in the '40s, '50s and '60s.

This is by far the silliest argument you've made yet.
Nobody thinks Nixon just picked up the phone and dialed a number.
A time was pre-arranged by the White House and NASA for Nixon to talk to the astronauts.
The White House switchboard and NASA set up a (probably secure) line for the call to take place.
At the appropriate time NASA techs tied normal Earth/Moon radio communications into this line, someone told Nixon it was ready, and he could pretend to make a call.

BTW, it's just been proven beyond all doubt that I am a human being. ISF software made sure of it before it let me post this message. Can you say the same? 99.9% sounds Alien or super advanced AI to me.

I can confirm 'experimental psychology' is the correct term. I am not aware of anyone in England using the term 'assessment'. Let me know if you have any objections.
It seems that acceptance into the triple-nine club doesn’t consider reading comprehension as an asset. Big on deliberate obtuseness though.

All the non-999ers here understood both the content and the intent of the post.

Artemis is not comparing like for like.
You can chart the progression of the engineering back to Apollo. There's a reason the Artemis casule looks the way it does.

For example, we have the ISS in place for refuelling and docking.
The ISS does what, now? I'm sure this is news to them.

Also, maybe look up the Saturn V, and why it was designed the way it was. You can find books written for children that can explain this.

We have digital technology, computer and sateliite systems a million times more advanced and developed than in 1969.
And why is that, exactly? And why couldn't 1969 technology, designed in 1965 or earlier, put men on the moon?

The entire Houston computer servers of 1969 are equivalent to the entire technology you now have in your smart phone. Calculators were as thick as a brick.
And?

President Nixon claimed to have rung up the astronauts on the Moon direct from his White House telephone because he was too dim to realise there were no telephone wires on the Moon.
Fun FactL The moron who first foisted this line of BS about the phone call was a raging alcohic, and religious fanatic who was the main instagator of the moon-land hoax nonsense...because Jesus, and whatnot.

Telephone all used to be by wires, remember. So a story had to be conjured up that er, his 'direct line to Apollo 11' went via bouncing around various radio stations instead. Well, it has plausible deniability.
Look, I guess it's okay to identify as stupid in 2026, but your willing ignorance is breathtaking.

Please understand, embracing the Apollo Hoax foolishness forever destroys any credibility you might have. It was bad enough on the Estonia threads, and the Amanda Knox threads, but now all any has to do is link to this thread to read your wall of buffoonary, and your argument is automatically drawn into question. Even if your argument is "Water is Wet", from here on out we check your homework.

Congratulations.

In 1969, all the news outlets devoted time to explain HOW Nixon made the call from the Oval Office. In the 1960s, thanks to Telstar, anything "live via satellite" was a big deal for people. My grandfather, born in 1891, was transfixed whenever the news went live via satellite because to him it was mind blowing to watch live images from the other side of the world on a screen in his living room.

This lack of cultural context is the most offensive part of our OP's stupidity. As if everyone was easily fooled back then, when most people had a better K-12 grade education than many college graduates do today.

It's hard not to conclude that you are simply being petulant at this point. How long have people been calling into radio stations and having their calls broadcast over radio? Do you think they somehow dialed a number and called your car radio directly? What witchcraft could enable a telephone network to interface with radio transmitters?

Are you really going to play this dumb?
