Apollo 11 Moon Landing Revisited: Hoax ~vs~ Debunk

There are clever people, and not so clever people.

There are people who make the effort to properly inform and educate themselves, and people who never bother to do so.

It's perfectly possible for not so clever people to know far more than clever people.

It's even possible for clever people to be pig ignorant.

Just sayin'.

And, as I've already stated, I believe the main difference between being clever or foolish isn't so much what you know, but how you react to what you don't know.

By 1969 we already had communication satellites relaying television and voice communication around the world. Your 19th Century concept of telegraph lines is rather amusing. Mission Control was in communication with the Apollo crews, except for the CSM when it was behind the moon. Mission control was also connected to the very extensive telephone network. So why would it be so difficult for you to conceive of them being able to patch through a call from the White House into the voice communications loop? Seriously, I'd like an answer to that.
Maybe she thinks all telephone operators are as competent and helpful as Ernestine...

Despite your best efforts, nobody is going to believe you're that stupid.
◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ seriously. If you have functioning radios between the earth and moon, and functioning telephone lines on the earth, the interface is the least of the technological challenges. Is Vixen saying she can't imagine a technology little more complicated than holding up a radio to a phone receiver?

Eta: I assume she understands that Houston could hear the astronauts on their headsets on earth, and talk to the astronauts through their microphones, and she can't figure out that adapting a headset to a phone line is relative child's play compared to the wonders of the acheivements of the Apollo Program?

And JMFC, she didn't think NASA had set up a communication line for exactly this purpose well in advance?

They didn't hop off onto the Moon down a step ladder, did they?
Six of the missions did. Twelve astronauts in total climbed down a ladder to the moon's surface.

But every one of those missions flew a crew to the moon, past the Van Allen belts, which was the point in contention.
They needed wheelchair back up and two aides to help them walk, on their return.
You think those people were somehow enabled to walk by the magical healing process of a wheelchair following behind them? How does that work?
One of the crew could barely lift his arm to wave. Compare and contrast to Apollo 11 fresh arrivals bounding down the helicopter steps into an area tv viewers were told led to 'a quarantine' tunnel, with hello, here's Tricky Dicky to have a few jovial words with the three (back in their space suits...? iirc) peering out of a quarantine window like zoo animals, when it was obviously a tv prop.
I'm not seeing your analysis of their passage through the Van Allen belts in this. Can you explain it in layman's terms?

There's nowt wrong with Middlesex. We gave you the Carry On films, Thunderbirds, Elton John, Brian May, Russell Grant. [ed.]

I'll get my coat.
Not even close to evening up the balance sheet (a thing accountants use, so you've probably never heard of it). The pile of ◊◊◊◊◊ you've posted here, added to your abject dishonesty, couldn't be levelled if you added Jesus and Barry ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ John.
Please go get your coat.

Flooding the zone with patent nonsense alongside serious claims allows someone to decide on the fly which posts are serious and which posts are meant as jokes. You mean you can't tell the difference? And posting patent nonsense keeps people focused on that instead of the unintended nonsense. And finally, posting patent nonsense lets someone flog everyone else for "bullying" when the expected criticism comes in.

For some folks, it's a lot easier to rely on body language than to take steps to establish whether some claim is factual.

Suppose, for example, that your knowledge of photography is so weak that you were expecting to see stars in photos taken using a camera adjusted to take pictures of sunlit objects on the earth or moon. Why would you bother to learn something about photography when you can just choose to believe a fellow because he speaks with a no-frills flat Yorkshire accent?

That would depend on whether an elderly Scottish gentleman holds a contradictory opinion.

If Vixen has a connection to Middlesex - as unlikely as anything else she has posted - then I am ashamed. I was born there.

So, yeah, looking at this in a hundred years time,. when the truth comes out, there is no way anyone could accuse them of lying because they never did say they were there.
JFC I just saw this. ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ unbelievable. I guess we can formally dispense with any explanation other than Commited Tin Foil Hatter.
