Ed Israel/US Attacks Iran /Yet Another Country/Iran

Trump always says that something he wants to happen has already happened.
It's his twisted version of Manifesting, him hoping that the other side will think it not worth contradicting him

Before the start of the Negotiations, the US wisely sold off a huge chunk of the strategic oil reveres, thus making it more vulnerable to a blockage of the Strait and strengthening Iran's hand.

it is bizarre that the oil price is so low, with everyone just assuming that the deal is going to happen very soon and there won't be any further complications until countries have refilled their reserves.

I would not be surprised at all if there is another major disruption in the coming weeks that will send a massive shock through the markets, pushing the oil price well above $100.

the price goes up when they slow or stop dipping into reserves. the us isn’t the only nation doing it, and last i looked, the reserves were at about half of what they kept in 2022 when biden released some during that oil shock. obviously they’re pretty unlikely to completely deplete the reserves, and oil execs gave trump about 4 weeks 2 weeks ago when he panic dealt with iran by giving them everything they wanted (then panic reversed after he got roasted for doing that)

so in a couple of weeks either oil is back to prewar levels (impossible due to infrastructure damage) or prices begin to rise.

i mean, there’s a great deal more to the story than that, and none of it is really good news

Lindsey Graham: "I spent 4.5 hours with President Trump on Friday. Here's what I think will happen next. If this deal fails, President Trump is gonna take the Strait of Hormuz over by force. We'll charge a fee for all those who go through to pay for the operation ... if Iran contests control of the Strait of Hormuz by the United States we'll obliterate them."
So, a protection racket then. The Strait is closed because of Trump and now he might charge protection money for anyone else to use it.

And then on top of that, whatever war crime "obliterate" means.

I'm guessing "Treasonous" is in quotes because he knows it's not anything that actually resembles treason in the real world.
It's "in my opinion" that's doing the heavy lifting. "In his opinion" down is up and the moon is made of cheese. This kind of "IMO TREASON" is the special sort of treason that will never be put in front of a judge. Just like so many of his other lurid accusations.

REP. MEUSER: The terrorist state of Iran is going to be in the history books in a matter of days

KILMEADE: If not, after the election I'm sure they're gonna get it

These people are so bloody disgusting - the know-nothing idiots in the heartland with their cynical greedy preachers and their racism at least are kind of honest with all their stupidity and resentment. But these ringleaders know better and keep at it. Despicable.

Unconditional surrender

Caputo: You had talked about you only wanted unconditional surrender. The MOU doesn't look like unconditional surrender.

Trump: Well, it really probably is unconditional surrender.

Caputo: It is?

Trump: I think so.

I don't think the US should unconditionally surrender to Iran. The deal is already humiliation enough.

So, my esteemed conservative friends: Obama goes to war with Iran alongside Israel and then makes an agreement to free all Iran's reserves, lift their sanctions and allow free oil exports and tacitly acknowledge Iran's control of the Strait of Hormuz. So, you would cheer this like mad? :) In real life the immediate universal howl of the media and both parties (and all conservative posters here) would have been so deafening, the guy would have ended up being impeached like in about seconds. Luckily there is the Völkischer Beobach..., sorry, Fox News et al, so no universal howl, die Partei ist unter kontrolle.

It's all about "the Slippery Slope"

Obama closely monitoring Iran''s nuclear program in return for some Sanctions relief is a step towards giving Iran control over all US nukes and unrestricted access to all our women.

Trump giving Iran billions, lets them keep their uranium and missiles and the right to tax ships is a clever ploy that will turn Iran into a loyal vassal state that will give us all its oil and pistachios.

You can never win by making perfect 1 to 1 comparisons.

Well y'see, their military is utterly destroyed so they have no one who knows how to operate missiles, enrich uranium, or enforce the taxation on ships

Trump: Iran is being very nice. They're agreeing to everything that I want, and they have to, otherwise we just go back and do what we have to do

He is the ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ dumbest ass negotiator ever. I don't think he realizes that if you back people in a corner and constantly threaten them then eventually they'll get sick of it and tell you to go ◊◊◊◊ yourself.

It's weird that "everything he wants" is for Iran to get everything they want, but I'm not a top notch negotiator I guess.
