General Israel/Palestine discussion thread - Part 4

The Israeli trapped the Palestinians - physically.
Israeli are only trapped in a genocidal ideology of supremacy.

In 1918, the Arabs living in southern Ottoman Syria had no specific national identity -- the use of Palestine up to this time was largely by the educated and as with the British naming of the LoN Mandate, they were recalling a name from Roman times and it was neither a country nor a political unit. This national identity was mostly formed in response to Zionism.

You know, when European colonizers started to appropriate the best land on the two foundations of ancient myth and racial supremacy. How dare people object to that.

you can't colonize your own ancestral homeland. Always was, always will be. The colonization after the Arab invasion is only not considered a crime on par with 1788 by the western left because it was successful.

Are you not ashamed to go back over 100 years to justify a genocide today?
Are you not ashamed to believe horse poo coming out of the Russia-China-GS axis at the UN and the NGOs such as the Red Cross and MSF -- which can only operate in the two thirds of the world that are not liberal democracies if they toe a regime's line

These ten Nepalese students were studying agriculture in Israel. Hamas murdered them. Such heroic deeds for the liberation of Palestine!

Ah, but if you can claim a piece of land as 'ancestral homeland' because your ancestors were pushed out of it 1900 years ago, then the Palestinians have a much more recent claim. After all, most of their ancestors were pushed out of their land less than 80 years ago.

Shall we do a murder count?

You've just shown 10.

I'll see your 10 and raise you 70,000 Gazan civilians, 1000 West Bank Palestinians and 5000 Lebbos.

How heroic are those Zionazis?

Your call.

Israel is not a liberal democracy

Israel is not a liberal democracy
How many countries allow non-citizens to vote?

How many countries southern Int. recognised borders are described as "the walls of an open-air prison"?

How many countries have been under siege by neighbours openly or BtS supporting its destruction for 8 decades?

How many people such as you really care about what is likely to happen to the Palestinian people in an actual State of Palestine? We have enough evidence of that from Fatah and Hamas's rule.

You need to stop believing that any of the Palestinian groups' leaders are good people.

I see you completely avoided the subject and instead made a cute strawman.

Nice work.
Not a strawman. Accurate. Unlike Diana Gould or Jeannette Rankin, the Friends of Palestine need to care who they are siding with. The Keffinazi leadership and militias are not forces you should be. They are not the Palestinian people. Similarly, Shirley Shackleton (widow of Greg) referred to Suharto's mob as the Javanese not the Indonesians.

wow, victim complex much?

state-guaranteed protections for the human rights, civil rights, civil liberties, and political freedoms of legally equal citizens.
that is not the case in Israel. Property rights and Right of Return are Not Equal. Freedom of the press is abysmal. Prosecution of war criminals and abuses of Prisoners is non-existent; in fact, tortures and rapist are being praised and honored by the government.
Gaza is just an hour away by car for most Israeli, and yet most know nothing about their next door neighbours from personal interactions.
Israeli historical education is a joke.
The Israeli Government has made it its stated goal to neuter the Supreme Court and all of the judiciary.

And don't get me started on how Israeli by and large treat Holocaust survivors or the families of the Hamas hostages for asking for prioritizing their return.

does that happen in a Liberal Democracy ?

Oh look, yet another finding of genocide by a country that openly calls for genocide: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0jy96w6pw2o

Hasbara-tainted vermin welcome to come and cry about it, or even more absurd, try to deny it.

Israel should be shunned by every nation on earth. Supporters absolutely will be. The vast majority of thinking people are sickened by the regime.

Look at these antisemites berating Netanyahu's genocide. Death's too good for them.

Ehud Olmert - former PM of Israel
Ehud Barak - former PM of Israel
Four former Cabinet Ministers of Israel
30 former security commanders including two chiefs of staff for Israel’s military and heads of the Mossad, Shin Bet and the police.
Novelist David Grossman, the Nobel chemistry laureate David Kornberg, an Oscar winner and 10 Israel Prize award winners.
Many others...

They demanded immediate action to “eradicate Jewish terrorism”, cataloguing years of attacks – including murder, sexual assault, theft, arson and desecration of the dead – by civilian and military perpetrators who acted with “almost complete impunity”.

The campaign of extreme violence against Palestinians broke Israeli and international law, put Israel’s security at risk, isolated the country internationally and fuelled antisemitism around the world

Oh, it's The Guardian, so can be safely ignored.

I love how this list starts out so strong, and then degenerates into novelists, chemists, and Oscar winners.

Israelis with political or security experience? Sure. Let's hear them out. But I can't think of anything less worth attention, than the political opinions of a Hollywood celebrity. It kind of demeans the other authorities you're appealing to, having them on the same list like this.

Two Prime Ministers and four cabinet ministers is enough on its own. Ignore the minors like Nobel winners.

Particularly weak effort at response.

Clutching at straws.
