D.C. police and the FBI are investigating a violent fight over the weekend at a Chipotle restaurant in Navy Yard.
Around 8:40 p.m. Saturday night, police were called to the Navy Yard Chipotle in the 1200 block of First Street SE for reports of a large fight inside. Videos of the incident show teenagers fighting and throwing chairs at one another, while families with young children sat eating nearby.

I suspect he's a different level of dumb, and that the uncommon placement of an adjective after the noun confounds him so to him they're a special kind of general, not a special kind of attorney. A mere misunderstanding of grammar is one thing, but a misunderstanding of the very structure and meaning of the thing you're supposed to be an expert in is a step beyond.

To add to that, though, all those things that I had poked at before serve more as a pick your own excuse, rather than actual reasons. It's more of situation where many of them are starting with the conclusion that Democrat bad and seeking to support it, so pointing out that they're throwing out all those often contradictory labels isn't actually a challenge for them. Why are they effectively starting with that conclusion? Social pressure, propaganda, and psychological manipulation, in short. There's a lot more that can be said in an analysis, but a deeper discussion is pretty much guaranteed to become long and OT. There's a reason that I don't mind summing the Republican Party up as a cult, given that a lot of the dynamics of how they operate are simply indistinguishable from that of the larger cults around. Especially the ones that barely even pretend to have ethical standards. That covers a lot of ground with that summation.

The 1's and 2's bit does indeed refer to supporters. I quite sympathize with anyone who is unhappy with the need to decode the jargon to understand the specifics there, though.

It feels like this is just a little off, but mostly there. Republicans have long engaged in very pronounced virtue signalling with the American flag as part of their efforts to claim that they are True Patriots and that Democrats aren't. Given the segment of the Republican Party that MAGA actually is, MAGA has largely been trained to internalize those virtue signalling signals and are used to conflating the virtue signalling with less tangible things like what actual patriotism is and support for their views.

Yes, though, the DoJ asking non-MAGA Americans not to use the American flag is very much because they're in the tank for MAGA and supporting the efforts to pervert what the American flag means, like Republicans have worked to pervert nigh everything related to patriotism.

They wouldn't need to pervert it if they were actual patriots, of course.

Unfortunately, this sounds exactly in line with their thoroughly unethical and often criminal tactics. It's not without reason that people like this have all too strong a case.

The Republican Party Is a Transnational Criminal Organization
Foreign governments and war criminals fund it, it serves their interests, and prosecutors must disband it, if it is not already too late.
