Trump's Second Term

Melania senior adviser Marc Beckman: "Kimmel needs to go. It's time that ABC stands up and terminates his employment. This isn't a freedom of speech issue. The issue is purely commercial in nature. He enters the homes of Americans every night, 50% of them don't agree with his perspective, but yet ABC stands behind him."

50% isn't even a majority. According to the latest polls, 67% disagree with Trump, so by that logic he should be fired for forcing himself into our homes day after day...

EPA doing it's job.

Lee Zeldin
@epaleezeldin
The Trump EPA has ENDED the Green New Scam.

We proudly rescinded what has been referred to as the “Holy Grail” for the “world is about to end” climate change zealots, the 2009 Obama EPA Endangerment Finding, without apology or regret.

$1.3 trillion in savings. $2,400 more affordable new vehicles. The end of the start/stop climate participation trophy. All while protecting our environment

Hey stupid. The start/stop on my vehicle nets me 3 mpg in city driving, which will yield dividends during these inflationary gas prices your boss (and his corrupt administration) have brought about. After you, he, and they are gone, we're gonna have to fix all the protections you idiots dismantled. And if your personal corruptions are ferreted out, you will have regret, ass hole.

That's not really an honest take, though it's also utterly unsurprising coming from you, given your posting history.

You've repeatedly tried to pretend that there's no meaningful difference between the Democrats and Republicans, which is utter BS. Democrats aren't perfect by a long measure, certainly, but the criticisms that you've leveled are not good faith criticisms.
No, I never try "to pretend that there's no meaningful difference between the Democrats and Republicans," but I always object when attempts are made to make it seem as if Democrats are better than they actually are (i.e. not very good), e.g. in the question of global warming. There are fairly obvious differences between Democrats and Trump. I point out what Trump does the same way I pointed out what Biden did: with documentation from the real world.
What I don't do is try to pretend anything. More than anybody else, I tend to let reality speak for itself, which is obviously what you don't like about my "posting history." It's the best way to avoid the traps of "good faith" (as well as bad faith!) "criticisms."
You are the one who prefers to pretend that the Biden-Harris climate policy was better than it actually was.
It was pretty ◊◊◊◊◊◊! It sucked! The examples I posted showed that it did.
Biden not releasing the Epstein Files, for example? That you would even try to make a point out of that is telling. Biden and the Democrats were following the rules, unlike Trump and co, and not interfering with the DoJ for political purposes. Further, the Epstein Files had been sealed during the prosecution of Ghislane anyways, so the Biden DoJ would have had little ability to do so in the first place while following the rules. Seriously, complaining about one party upholding the law and treating them as if they were the same as the party of lawbreakers is inane and makes for quite the bad faith complaint.
When asked about why Biden didn't release the Epstein files, Google AI tells me:
Procedural Limitations: The files were largely sealed by courts rather than solely by the executive branch. Releasing them would have required a judge to determine that the public interest outweighed the privacy rights of those involved.
So why didn't a judge determine that? Why didn't the Democrats push for something like that?
Why didn't Democrats release the Epstein files? (Vox on YouTube)
Rep. Ro Khanna (D–CA), So if you're saying that we should have, as a political matter, as a moral matter, called for the release of these files and accountabilities years before Donald Trump became president, you're absolutely right. Let's be honest, there are a lot of those friends who were Democratic donors. So I do think that the political class – I don't think that there was some kind of conspiracy – but they weren't, let's just say they weren't rushing to come to the aid of the survivors. They weren't rushing to expose all of this.

Aridas, the next time you have anything to complain about "given my posting history," bring the receipts! Or STFU.
As it is, what you're doing is despicable.

Indeed. I would love Trump to stop invading the news stream, and making the world a worse place, so that I could finally spend less time time worrying about his next move.

So should every TV presenter who doesn't get the approval of 50% +1 of American's get summarily fired?

Kid Rock addresses The Pentagon on the Strait of Hormuz. This is a not a serious administration
Oh ffs! This is too stupid, I'm surprised that the poor old globe doesn't just give up and implode, faced with the astonishing lack of intelligence that is gathered in this administration.

It's been 40+ years since I owned a TV, so pardon my puzzlement -- but don't television sets
have on/off switches anymore? Or some way to change channels?

Don't be afraid to hit me with the truth. I'm here to learn.

Perhaps you're being facetious but there is some truth to it. Sometimes I'm at the VA (medical center) and the TV is on and no one else is around. Often I don't feel like cruising channels to find something that's not Fox News or Matlock. So I'd like to turn it off -- but with no remote around I had to do it on the TV itself. Imagine a thief running their hand around a picture frame edge to find the switch that opens to the safe behind it. But that's probably easier to find than an Off switch.

I was just about to post that

THE STATE DEPARTMENT IS CLOSE TO FINALIZING a radical redesign of the U.S. passport to include a picture of President Donald Trump, The Bulwark has learned from two sources with knowledge of the redesign, including one who shared images currently under consideration.

The redesign is ostensibly part of a larger celebration of the 250th anniversary of American independence

Perhaps they should install off buttons on American TVs? Then they wouldn't be forced to listen to him.

Oh! Some one else came up with the same idea

Can you get it with the picture of him laughing with Epstein? How about him crapping himself next to that Bald Eagle? Or perhaps a close up of him pouting when Obama was roasting him at the last White House Correspondant's Dinner he attended?

A Secret Service agent hit during the apparent attempt on President Trump's life may have been shot by one of his colleagues.

Cole Allen's initial court appearance heard the agent fired five shots as the gunman tried to storm the White House correspondents' dinner on Saturday.

His shots missed, but the agent himself took a bullet to his Kevlar vest.

"This heroic officer who was hit fired five times at Allen, who was not shot but fell to the ground and was promptly arrested," said acting attorney general Todd Blanche.

Mr Blanche would not disclose details of who was responsible for hitting the agent.
