Trump's Second Term

Trump and Putin, however different they are, seem to be both stuck in the same dictator mold. Trump's rule will end soon enough, and he was frustrated enough with things to start a war. Putin, though with more skill, saw NATO as a threat. He had to then attack a country that had some Russian speakers and was not a NATO partner. Did he think he can take it with tanks and missiles? Missiles would just destroy cities and expensive things he would have to rebuild.

Iran and Ukraine have huge populations. That was also the mistake in both cases.

And here we are. Putin will not leave, you have to wait for him to die. Could be 10 years.

As far as the military, US spent a lot on missiles etc. The problem of following up missiles is what next. You would achieve the most with drones and ground troops. Why didn't Putin think of that?

Keystone Kash’s lawsuit epically backfires as more sources come forward

FBI Director Kash Patel’s lawsuit against The Atlantic has hit another speed bump.

Sarah Fitzpatrick, the journalist who authored the bombshell article in which sources described Patel as a paranoid, excessive drinker, revealed on Thursday that she has been “inundated” by more insiders willing to corroborate her reporting.

“Since the moment that I published this story, I have been inundated, truly inundated, with new sourcing that goes to the highest levels of the government, who are offering corroborating information,” she said.

If true, that gives Fitzpatrick and The Atlantic fresh ammunition against Patel, who accused the magazine of defaming him in a lawsuit filed Monday. He is demanding $250 million in damages.

The FBI did not respond to an email seeking comment on Fitzpatrick’s latest claim.

Reuters say an internal Pentagon email considers ways for the US to punish NATO allies for not supporting Trump's Iran escapade.

Options are said to include trying to suspend Spain's NATO membership and reconsidering the US's position on Falkland Islands sovereignty.

They just need to work out the logistics of how many toys can be thrown out of the pram, over what distances and in how many different directions.
