Cont: Musk, SpaceX and future of Tesla II

Elon Musk
@elonmusk
What happened to all the Tesla killers that legacy press and hedge fund short sellers predicted were coming?

Is it? SpaceX is farther along than anyone else. Has Blue Moon actually got off the ground yet?
Are they? Have you seen their HLS? I haven't. And no, they haven't got it off the ground. All they've got off the ground is an empty shell with some engines and fuel tanks. That's worlds away from getting the HLS off the ground, never mind to the Moon.

Their launcher, New Glenn, has reached orbit two more times than Starship has, or perhaps ever will.
That's their launcher. What about their lander, Blue Moon?

SpaceX, as has been pointed out, actually has a shell, and the shell has been in the air. Has anyone seen anything from Blue Origin about their lander? Bueller? Anyone?

As I understand it, the HLS will be based on Starship V3, which has not yet flown but did complete static testing just recently. Blue Origin's cargo lander is being vacuum tested at NASA, and their crewed lander will be based on it. SpaceX is attempting a more ambitious design (with attendant ambitious problems), but is farther ahead. Blue Origin's approach is simpler, but farther behind.

The Lander is not the launch system.
Which has never even TRIED to reach orbit, and has failed multiple times on even suborbital attempts.
Of course, they've got the V3 Ship, Booster, and the new launch pad just about ready. And are STILL only trying for suborbital.
I give Musk only about a 50-50 chance of the BFR ever achieving orbit. And about 2% of landing on the moon.

I noticed that Roger didn't include Toyota.

It sold 287,000 electrified vehicles in the US during that period. It sold 569,000 vehicles in the US during that period. This one car company delivered twenty times Tesla's total number of vehicles sold during Q1. Ford sold slightly less than Toyota.

Roger keeps spinning. The EV market contracted in Q1. Tesla's sales were down 8%. Tesla may be the most dominant US EV player. But it doesn't justify it bloated stock price. It's profits is not much better than most auto manufacturers and is actually worse than others. A P/E ratio of 330 is hardly justified when most of its actual competition is under 15.
