General UK politics VIII - The Last Tory

There's a march in London tomorrow to show opposition to the far right. It will be interesting to see how much support it gets, and how well it is reported. Haven't decided yet whether to pop up to see it; I could even take part as a union member.

Indeed and it seems they are pretty good ships that other countries are also buying, but it takes a long time to reach that point, some commentators have been only too happy to imply that its the current governments fault for not having beefed up the Royal Navy with ships that take 3-5 years to build and commission, after they've been designed. The US Navy started building the Constellation class without a final design and that entire program ended up being cancelled, which is problem because as I say they needed those to replace the previous total failure with the LCS.

Restore Britain don't want to restore anything. Hard, boring work. No, they only crave the power to destroy things they hate.

When you declare the system needs to be torn down and started again, you will always get lots more volunteers for the tearing down bit. They aren't the people you need.

Farage was on fire in Sunderland tonight. His speech was broadcast to the Nation. He had more edge than normal, but his delivery was excellent. He is taking on & defeating the whole political establishment. Reform are Rampant & Nigel is the cornerstone of the entire movement.

If she was a real nurse (uniform is similar to some charge nurse/ward manager uniforms), she'd be breaching her T&Cs with her trust and also her NMC Code of Professional Conduct.

FFS, my manager once tried to have a go at me for not running a (award-winning) multi-agency care pathway past Corporate Affairs (who are all, every single one, experts in self-harming adolescents), as I was one of several (unnamed) authors of said care pathway.

Man, I had to be anonymous when interviewed for a book about mentoring in caring professions.
 
Another one

A man put at the top of Reform UK's list for Bridgend and Vale of Glamorgan has stepped down after a picture of him performing a Nazi salute was published.

Nigel Farage had previously backed Corey Edwards after the photo emerged.

A Reform UK Wales spokesperson:

“Corey Edwards has informed us that he is stepping down as a candidate for the Senedd election this May, citing issues with his mental health.

“We wish him well for the future and hope his privacy can be respected at this difficult time.”

Reform say they will be providing mental health support to Mr Edwards.
