Ed Israel/US Attacks Iran /Yet Another Country/Iran

I don't blame you for not wanting to make a positive claim that Trump is competent and well-informed. It would be pretty tough for you to defend.
A detached, declining old man has put a crazed religious fanatic in charge of prosecuting a war against . . . a regime consisting of crazed religious fanatics. What could possibly go wrong?

What good reason is there for the Commander in Chief to get such video shorts apart from "entertainment" and feeling important?
What does it matter if he has the video made for his entertainment? That's not the actually important claim. It's used to try to justify the actually important claim (that his aides are hiding the truth from him), but that claim isn't actually evidenced. The videos are not actually evidence of that claim.

China could absolutely organize and safeguard a Demilitarized Strait of Hormuz
Could they? On what basis do you reach that conclusion?
- but the US would never let that happen
Why not? We have already asked China to help do exactly that.
The fact that Trump wants shorter and more entertaining Daily Briefs than any other President makes it unavoidable that the editorial decision on what to show is not in his hands
These videos are not the Daily Briefs. You made that part up in your head.

Every time Trump speaks is evidence that Trump is delusional and has no idea what's going on. Reports that Trump isn't informed of what is actually happening bolster what every one can plainly see.

In other words, even though the report presents no real evidence, it matches what you expect, therefore you believe it.

It matters because it shows his approach to life and death decisions. Supporting the idea that he likes snuff videos.

It strongly suggests that he is only interested in good news, which is fine for someone who doesn't have to take decisions. It is really bad in someone who likes to micromanage things, which we have seen.

But I guess you know that

does he really expect us to play along with this trump isn’t a lying moron routine

there is no 4d chess. he’s just a ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ idiot and he’s marching us off and he’s proven it countless times. the burden of proof is to prove that’s not what’s happening

I think that's not quite correct.

Trump's only evidence is what's inside the bowl of mush, his brain.

He has no interest in realities, because if they conflict with whatever is in the bowl of mush at the time, it's wrong anyway.

It's the US Military. Whether you approve or disapprove of the military stance of the US... they're ALWAYS ready to invade. US military logistics are unparalleled.
Seriously?

Special forces. Yes. Rapid reaction forces with some short preparation, but neither of those are appropriate for "ready to invade" except in very specific circumstances.

Yes, quite seriously. We can get an entire naval fleet with aircraft carrier to anywhere on the globe in about 24 hours. Air deployment of supplies and troops in about the same amount of time. And given that this particular conflict has been going on for weeks now, I guarantee there's no delay on the US side of things.

Whether you think that's a good thing or a bad thing is irrelevant - it's absolutely a thing.

ETA: Right now... I don't really think that a ground invasion is even necessary. Almost everything the US has done in Iran has been air-based destruction of military installments, personnel, and supplies. If Iran has no functional military, leadership, or materiel, I dunno that there's really a need for ground troops. Plus, we've already got bases throughout the ME in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar, as well as naval fleets in the vicinity.
