Ed Israel/US Attacks Iran /Yet Another Country/Iran

I don't really understand the motivation behind liberals and progressives passionately defending a theocratic dictatorship that has stripped half of its population of any rights whatsoever, actively persecutes other religions and atheists, and executes homosexuals or anyone who speaks against the theocracy, and has repeatedly declared its intention to terrorize western nations and kill us all.

Is the hatred for Trump so extreme that you will defend a regime that is completely antithetical to everything you claim to hold dear... just to make it clear how much you dislike the current democratically elected president of the US?

I don't know anyone who doesn't detest the theocracy of Iran. Trump's not-a-war war will not end that. You are naive if you think it will. And in the meantime, it hurts the people of Iran, possibly as much, or more, as their own leaders have.

My enemy's enemy is not automatically my friend.

Downing Street says America has never requested aircraft carriers from the UK and the UK has never offered to send any.

These sources validate Trump's cluelessness about this war and pretty much everything that we all can observe every time he speaks.

You seem to disagree.

Please cite in detail what makes you think Trump has any idea what he's talking about.

And it turned out they weren't stupid enough to fall for that. And you're whining and using that to back off from your commitment to NATO even though this never had anything to do with NATO.

And it should be noted that it isn't "liberals and progressives" who are against this war, it's 61% of Americans. You don't get to that number with just "liberals and progressives".

Seriously, turn off Fox News before your brain completely liquifies and leaks out of your ears.

What good reason is there for the Commander in Chief to get such video shorts apart from "entertainment" and feeling important?

What would you have said about if Obama did that for Afghanistan?

It shows that the commander in chief lacks the concentration to understand the situation. And this is a commander in chief who is particularly keen on claiming to take command and design decisions where other presidents would have delegated to experts.

Does that previous sentence remind anyone of any famous 20th century leader?
 
The countries most affected by the lack of oil delivery are all in Asia: China, South Korea, Japan, Philippines etc.

China could absolutely organize and safeguard a Demilitarized Strait of Hormuz - but the US would never let that happen
